Right out of the box, the Cadillac Escalade exudes elegance and luxury, but what would it take to add a hearty dose of intimidation to the mix? This custom-built Escalade diesel is a good example, adopting a rugged off-road persona that definitely sets it apart from any standard model. Now, we’re taking a closer look thanks to the folks at PaxPower.
The first thing that stands out is the stance, which is achieved thanks to new coilover suspension. The increased ride height is paired with massive all-terrain tires, giving the Escalade a commanding presence that would look just as comfortable tearing across a rugged trail as it would cruising the pavement.
The exterior is completely blacked out, with the glossy black paint extending across the body, complemented by satin-finished elements on the grille, among other locations. The front end remains unmistakably Escalade, but the black-out aesthetic provides a nice surround for the signature lighting elements.
From the side profile, the most striking feature is the sheer size of the wheels and tires. This particular Escalade sits on 24-inch Vossen wheels, finished in a shade of satin black that matches the rest of the SUV’s aesthetics to a tee. Wrapped around the aftermarket wheels are massive 35-inch Nitto off-road tires, which not only contribute to the vehicle’s lifted stance, but also add to the rugged attitude of the overall design.
At the rear, the aggressive aesthetic continues with a blacked-out rear fascia that bookends the blacked-out front fascia nicely. The taillights, featuring Cadillac’s signature vertical light design, retain black inner graphics. Even the rectangular exhaust tips are done in black.
This particular Cadillac Escalade cradles the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax engine. To note, Cadillac discontinued the Escalade’s diesel option with the launch of the refreshed 2025 model year due to low demand.

Ugly.
The AT4 and the ZR-2 can pull off this look. Let Escalade stay close to the ground please🙄🙄🙄
Another ruined Cadillac. It looks like someone visited a junk yard and threw on some random crap to try and make there ride look offroad even though this rig never leaves the pavement!
