About Cadillac XT4

The 2025 Cadillac XT4 arrives with more standard safety features than the refreshed 2024 model, including the Active Safety Package, offered as standard on Premium Luxury and Sport trim levels. However, it drops two safety features: Automatic Speed Limit Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition.

Also, the 2025 XT4 drops the Luxury trim level, with the Premium Luxury becoming the entry-level trim.

Here are the 2025 XT5 paint colors, the interior colorways, and available wheels.

Under the hood, the 2025 XT4 carries over the turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, producing 235 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. It is mated to the GM nine-speed automatic transmission for both front-wheel- and all-wheel-drive configurations, with the latter featuring GM’s Intelligent Dual-Clutch AWD system.

The 2025 XT4 can tow up to 3,500 pounds when equipped with the Trailering Package.

Pricing for the 2025 Cadillac XT4 shows it actually down $700 for the Premium Luxury trim compared to the 2024 model year and down $400 for Sport, with the $1,195 destination freight charge remaining unchanged. Here is pricing with options and packages.

Production of the 2025 XT4 was to be initially paused for much of the 2025 calendar year as the GM Fairfax plant in Kansas City gets retooled for the next generation of the Chevy Bolt EV, expected to arrive for the 2026 model year. However, XT4 production ended in January, which means the refresh of the small luxury crossover will have lasted just two years before the nameplate is sunsetted.

  1. Test drove one a few years ago. It was a dog then and it looks like they haven’t done anything to remedy it.

  2. Bought a 2025 XT4 Premium Luxury last week. My first Caddy, with Buick’s preceding. Got the $750 cash back, with dealer dropping $4000 off sticker. The technology is mind numbing, but I will persevere. It is a beautiful car, not a race car.

  3. Bought my wife a Radiant Red Tintcoat Premium Luxury in August 2024. Got $1000 rebate & $500 Educator Discount. As a previous owner of Chevelles, Camaros, & Monte Carlo SS with V8’s from 283 to 305, to 327 to 350 to 396 have to admit the 2.0 turbo 4 is very strong especially after I have been driving our ‘20 Equinox with the 1.5 that performs fine and 30mph on the road on cruise. Leather seats (Oxford stone with massage, heat, and ventilation) and many other bells and whistles we are still learning to use. Constantly getting compliments on it. Waited 3 months for delivery from KC to Memphis as just what we wanted. GM making a mistake dropping the XT 4, 5, & 6 with the CT 4 & 5 to follow soon. Not everyone wants or needs a gigantic SUV or EV.

    1. They’re between a rock and a hard place. The ICE crossovers are mediocre, so they either invest heavily to improve them, or they consolidate on EVs to focus on modular platforms.
