Cadillac Participates In The 2025 Salon Rétromobile In Paris

Cadillac participated in the 2025 salon Rétromobile in Paris, considered the largest and most important classic car exhibition in the world, which was held from February 5th to the 9th in the French capital.

The American luxury brand marked a first by participating in the 2025 salon Rétromobile in Paris, a show that celebrates the greatest icons in motoring history. Cadillac decided to make its debut at this year’s edition of Rétromobile as part of its return to the European market, showcasing more than a century of innovation and an electric vision of the future at this renowned event.

“Participating in the 2025 Rétromobile is a unique opportunity for Cadillac to celebrate our rich heritage while showcasing our bold vision of the electric future,” said Marketing Director of Cadillac Europe, Jean-Pierre Diernaz. “The new Cadillac Lyriq embodies this perfect fusion of tradition and innovation, delivering a modern no-compromise luxury experience,” he added.

Cadillac’s flagship stand at the 2025 salon Rétromobile contrasts the brand’s rich historical legacy with the present and the immediate future that the luxury brand is introducing, thanks to its growing line of all-electric models. The classic 1958 Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado – as one of the symbols of American elegance and engineering – is displayed alongside a Cadillac Lyriq Sport.

The 1958 Cadillac Series 62 Eldorado embodies the brand’s golden era with its bold design, iconic tailfins and powerful engine that defined its era with its majestic proportions in a convertible body style. Meanwhile, the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq continues Cadillac’s core values – distinctive design, advanced technology and a great driving experience – adapted to the demands of more sustainable mobility for the future.

Cadillac’s participation at the 2025 salon Rétromobile in Paris with these iconic models highlights the transition between its rich historical heritage and its all-electric future. The stand also includes a photographic timeline of Cadillac’s history, ending with a teaser of the all-new Cadillac Optiq and the inscription “Coming Soon” in anticipation of the model’s imminent arrival in Europe.

    1. Agreed. The ’58 Eldo is a classic American luxury automobile. EV’s are merely transportation appliances.

      1. ROFL!!! Celestiq, Vistiq, and, Escalade IQ clearly show otherwise of being appliances.

      2. @smokefoot and Beachy: You both obviously have not driven an EV.

      3. Not an Eldorado. That’s a Series 62.

  2. Cadillac always embarrasses itself when it displays its gorgeous old cars next to its lame current cars. Saddest part is gm does not even realize it.

    1. Modern cars of every manufacture can’t go that expressive today. There are a lot of manufacturing and safety considerations.

      1. they can, totally agree with 2002tiii, smokefoot and beachy… USA people is very rich, huge houses in whole Florida Palm Beach, some 30 million palacesand California, Alabama, Nevada etc… so USA is a beautiful country things well done with much money, there are really a lot billionaires there with yachts to buy really decent cadillacs, but they prefer to give 200000 dollars in EVs of plastic.

  3. The take rate on electric vehicles is low and getting lower. The initial take was high on their first introduction at Cadillac but owners are now looking to get out.

Cadillac had better do some hybrids and gas or they have a very good chance of going away from other articles I’ve read.

Well, that’s just 100% wrong. But keep telling yourself that. BTW, just because you say it doesn’t mean it’s true. But at least I have facts to back what I’m saying. What can you show?

  6. WOW the trolls from the oil companies coming out. If you didn’t attack you would not be worried in losing your job. Just keep attacking it will make oil go away faster. Cadillac is now the number 1 lux brand because of the lyriq.

    1. zack you’ve got to remember that these are just simple farmers. These are people of the land. The common clay of the new West. You know… morons.

      1. zack and Charlie: I was thinking myself how this site seems to have become quite MAGA now.

It used to be a site that I looked forward to coming to. To read great articles that pertained to GM. That seemed to have good content. And yes, there were often some back and forth with others on here, but that pales compared to the MAGA-ish type on here now. Pathetic.

And I grew up on a farm in the mid-west. I grew up in a very Republican area. And yet, what I grew up with would be the John McCain Republicans. Not the s**t we have today. So I don’t take offense to what you said (Charlie) even though I don’t feel it truly describes things today. Many farmers and simple people don’t think and talk like the comments I’m seeing on GMA now days.

  7. Should have put the Soleil concept on the stage beside it.

    1. Agree. Sollei is so gorgeous.

      1. not really, wood inside not, but the GM cars of 1970ies and 1980ies used a lot of wood which disagree too. 1950ies were better because they used chrome outside and inside, the 1960ies too

        Reply
        1. and that is the main problem of jaguar, rolls royce, bentley etc since ever, wood inside. it why i like them onlyin exterior not interior… a tree must be kept as a tree, you can use other material maybe synthetics too

    2. Not only should they have put that gorgeous Sollei on that stage, but anything but another bloated SUV that screams look at me in a trailer park way instead of look at me in a classy way.

The Sollei would have been a perfect match up to that beautiful blue Cadillac. Class for class instead of class for trash.

  10. They are not showing the CT4 or CT5 again this year at the formerly grand Chicago Auto Show. When they debuted, it was a huge deal. The two e cars and eldo, that’s it. I was looking forward to giving them a close inspection, and possibly down sizing from my XTS. Pathetic..

  11. I own a Lyriq 2024 EV sport 3 and love it… I already have driven 20,800 km since January 2024 and I am totally satisfied with every aspect of its electrification except a few tracking kWh battery level during driving… I can get access only after t turn car off, or on the Cadillac App.

  12. LOST ME as a 30yr Cadillac owner (and ex-Cadillac Dealership General Mgr )

If I wanted to drive an EV — I’d break out my old “slot car” track and set it up in my living room.

  13. To you above touting GM EV’s sales, lets got spend 2 months (Jan – Feb) in North Dakota with a Gas Car that I’ll pick out and you bring your EV (any model) and we’ll see how far you can go trying to charge a battery in zero degree weather. You’ll be stopping every 20 miles.
