The experts at the J.D. Power analysis firm have bestowed a winning position on the 2025 Cadillac CT4 luxury sedan in the recently released J.D. Power 2025 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards.
The study indicates that J.D. Power believes the Cadillac CT4 will retain its value best over a period of three years among the competing 2025 model-year vehicles in the Compact Premium Car segment.
Two other Cadillac vehicles, including the 2025 Cadillac CT5 and the 2025 Cadillac Escalade, also won their respective award segments. The 2025 Cadillac CT4 obviously has not been on the road long enough for J.D. Power to measure its actual remaining average value after a three-year period of lease or ownership.
However, the firm’s sophisticated analytical models and plentiful data on previous model years enables them to make an educated forecast likely to prove accurate. The Cadillac CT4 was one of 32 models that won their individual categories for 2025 out of a total of 282 models that were evaluated during the study.
The awards choose as winners those premium models which keep the highest amount of their original value over three years, or mass-market vehicles over four years. The analysis looks at a wide range of factors, including the vehicle’s reliability and quality, mileage figures for past model years, the options and features offered for the model, and the macroeconomic environment likely to exist during the upcoming several years.
Though speaking about the top brands in the study, Lexus and Toyota, JDP customer success director Danny Battaglia made remarks that likely apply to most of the winners. He said the winning brands “have shown they can strategically make select updates or redesigns to their vehicles while retaining elements that deliver strong residual value” and pointed out that the top designs provide “long-term value for shoppers that are buying in a competitive market.”
Notably, in spite of the likelihood of retaining a high percentage of its value over three year, the Cadillac CT4 is one of the luxury marque’s worst-selling models, at least in the U.S., with sales down 32 percent year-over-year in 2024.

This review makes me wonder if JDP awarded the 2015 ATS in the same category. I still have mine bought in that year and I am extremely pleased with her in many ways. If GM kept her core set up in the CT4, I’m not surprised that the value is still there! Ninety four thousand miles and still a jewel in my garage.
Watch Cadillac and GM sales in Canada plummet as Trump’s 25 per cent tariff tales effect.
I expect you are correct.
Honestly, everyday that goes by, I’m happy that they haven’t dumped the two world class Cadillac sedans. But I’m waiting for it. The problem is that they didn’t fit into GM’s WOKE green agenda to single handedly save the planet.. Emails went out to all employees how GM is doubling down, defying common sense, giving Trump the bird and it’s still “full speed ahead” this is an electric car company… It reminds me my of another once great company, Kodak. Kodak patented the digital camera but the decision was made, “were not going digital, were a chemical film company!”. Where’s Kodak today??
I think it time for the top brass to rethink thing again. With no gas shortage and EV not getting mileage. Then again lets look at MARY how she alone messed up Cars and trucks
Under Mary, you can count the days until this and the CT5 are toast.
I think it was sometime last year that GM Authority or a different website confirmed that Cadillac is working on two electric sedans besides the already in production Celestiq.
I understand retail sales of the $340,000+ Cadilac Hearse Mobile are still zero despite production on this Hearse Mobiles started in January of 2024, according to an announcement made by GM which I don’t believe.
I liked cars when they were mainly V8 powered coupes. Times change but don’t need an EV.
A great award for a vehicle that’s barely advertised, yet Mary Buick Envision Made in China-Barra will never associate that increasing a vehicles’ advertising budget will increase sales of that vehicle.
Dont really care anymore after owning 3 caddies, . Due to trump GM is leaving CANADA!. most americans dont know Gm was created by joint companies , one being mclaughlin buick, we , canada bailed out GM in 2009 or GM and chrysler , so the american auto industry would not exist! Now we are going to have to turn to the much cheaper chinese companies and buy their cars and have them built here, Good luck USA your vehicles and gas will be more expensive with out US
