The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary revealed the official name and the first images of the brand-new Chevy Spark EUV, which has been formally presented in Brazil as the bowtie brand’s next global vehicle that will be sold in multiple countries around the world. The Spark EUV made its global debut in the South American country ahead of its imminent local introduction in the coming months as one of Chevy Brazil’s 2025 calendar-year launches.

“The Spark EUV will arrive in Brazil in 2025, bringing together what consumers value most in a car in this category,” said President of GM South America, Santiago Chamorro. “In addition, the new global vehicle arrive with the differential of the Chevrolet brand, which is completing a century of activities in the country, always focused on innovation and customer satisfaction,” he added.

The brand-new Chevy Spark EUV was finally presented in Brazil as the next member of the Chevrolet family of fully electric vehicles. In particular, it represents the first zero-emission model of the budget brand that will come to complement the product portfolio at the lower end as an entry-level EV, as a unique urban SUV concept boasting a distinctive box-shaped design that will make it stand out.

Although GM South America has not yet shared all the details, it revealed that the Chevy Spark EUV will be offered exclusively in a single, well-equipped configuration specifically tailored to meet the new preferences of the local Brazilian market. In fact, the Spark EUV debuts with the adventurous Activ trim that adopts a two-tone body and many characteristic design elements that will make it stand out in the market.

The brand-new Chevy Spark EUV was officially revealed in Brazil as the first of five launches announced by Chevrolet for this year in that country, where GM kicked off the calendar year celebrating its first 100 years of operations. As a reminder, the Spark EUV is a rebadged Baojun Yep Plus with Chevy logos that repurposes the widely recognized nameplate around the world as an entry-level electric crossover.

Full details of the Chevy Spark EUV for the Brazilian market will be announced soon.

    1. The Baojun Yep Plus has been available since 2023. The Chevy Spark EUV, based on the Baojun Yep Plus, is making its global debut.

And a vehicle does not need to be available in literally every market to make a global debut. It was debuted in Brazil, but has also been teased in Argentina, Chile, Columbia, Perú, Ecuador, Uruguay and Paraguay. They also announced the vehicle for the African and Middle Eastern market in Dubai yesterday.

  7. Today 2025-02-14 marks the 6th anniversary of the last Chevy Volt (plugin hybrid) that was made.
Ideally they could have continued to launch more plugins using that tech.

Hope at least they sell this Spark EUV actively, otherwise GM will sell the same fate in Brazil as they suffered in China.

  8. Important question we have to ask is, in what aspect will the upcoming Chevy Bolt.
Why not GM sell it as Chevy Bolt in all the markets in the World.
This way it can be called a global model like Model Y or RAV-4.
