The 2025 Chevy Silverado HD follows the refreshed 2024 model year with a series of important updates, including the new Silverado HD Trail Boss, as well as a few new styling options and other minor refinements. As was the case previously, the 2025 Silverado HD is available with a variety of different fascia designs, the availability of which varies by trim level. Now, we’re taking a closer look at all of the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD grilles.
Before we get into the grilles, we should note that the post-refresh (2024 and newer) Silverado HD is offered with two different front fascia designs, which are distinguished by the headlamps. The “base” design – included on the WT, Custom and LT without any packages – starts with a horizontally-oriented turn signal at the top, followed by a separator and the actual headlamps (incandescent regular beam and high-beam) below it. Meanwhile, the up-level design – included on LT with up-level packages, LTZ, High Country and ZR2 – features a prominent C-shaped LED signature (for the Daytime Running Light / DRL and turn signal), with an LED headlight cluster set inside it. With that out of the way, let’s get to the actual grilles.
Four general grille designs are on offer for the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD, offered in multiple finishes, depending on model:
- Design 1: WT, Custom, and LT (three finishes)
- Design 2: LT Trail Boss, LT Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, LTZ, LTZ Trail Boss, LTZ Z71 Chrome Sport Edition (three finishes)
- Design 3: ZR2 and ZR2 Bison (same finish)
- Design 4: High Country and High Country Midnight Edition (two finishes)
The first design is found on WT, Custom, and LT trim levels, and includes a large grille bar in three different finishes, plus black grille inserts.
The second design is found on the LT Trail Boss, LT Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, LTZ, LTZ Trail Boss, and LTZ Z71 Chrome Sport Edition, and includes a large grille bar in multiple finishes and prominent horizontal grille inserts, also in multiple finishes.
The third design can be found on ZR2 and ZR2 Bison models, and includes an identical black grille bar, gloss black grille mesh, black Chevy Bowtie with red inserts.
Finally, the fourth design can be found on High Country and High Country Midnight Edition models, and shows off either a chrome or black grille bar paired with either chrome grille inserts or black grille inserts.

As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD is motivated by one of two engine options, including the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine, as well as the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine. Under the body panels, the Chevy Silverado HD rides on a more-capable variant of the GM T1 platform, while vehicle production takes place at the GM Oshawa plant in Canada and the GM Flint plant in Michigan.

I’d like to see the HC grille have the body color main bar with the brushed chrome accent bars. I’d put one on my ’24!
