The automaker revealed the all-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV in Mexico on February 12th, at the same time as the global presentation of the new Chevy model by GM’s Brazilian subsidiary, and a week after showing the first teaser of the all-electric crossover in the North American country. As such, GM confirmed the imminent arrival of the new Spark EUV in Mexico – where the Spark name is deeply rooted.

“We are very excited to confirm the evolution of Spark, an iconic nameplate in Mexico, which now becomes the perfect option for customers who want to purchase an EV,” said Chevrolet Marketing Manager at GM Mexico, Angel Pacheco. “The Spark name has become a benchmark for the industry in our country, so we are sure that, with this evolution, it will once again be a favorite of our customers,” he added.

In particular, the all-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV was revealed in Mexico as the evolution of the Spark nameplate that represents the brand’s most recognized and successful global urban vehicle. With its small size and more popular crossover body, the new Spark EUV is Chevrolet’s new entry-level vehicle bet for the next generation of customers, looking to bring all-electric technology to the mass market in multiple regions of the world.

Based on the Baojun Yep Plus developed by the SAIC-GM-Wuling joint venture in China, the 2026 Chevy Spark EUV stands out for its striking boxy and rugged exterior design, as well as its zero-emission propulsion technology and a high level of connectivity. In Mexico, the Spark EUV will come standard with the 8.8-inch infotainment touchscreen and a full suite of advanced driver assist features, including autonomous emergency braking.

The all-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV will officially launch in Mexico in the coming months, and full details about the vehicle’s additional equipment, trim levels, and pricing in that country will be revealed at a later date. The Latin American country is expected to be one of the largest volume markets for the brand’s entry-level electric crossover and increase Chevrolet’s level of competitiveness against Chinese rivals in the zero-emissions category.

  1. Actually looks better than the Bolt. I could see them selling several of them if the price was under $40k before incentives and tax kickbacks.

    1. This is a sub-15k car in China, but it also has a 100hp motor, max speed of like 85-90mph, range or like 180mph.

I think there probably is a market for something like this, but probably not as much as the Bolt.

  2. Launching an EV for the Mexico market — is like trying to find clean water in Mexico.

GM (Mary) is hell bent on this EV mandate—that no one wants.
