2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V Won’t Get These Two Paint Colors

The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V achieves several firsts among the GM luxury marque’s vehicles, such as qualifying as the fastest Cadillac vehicle ever and being the first V-series electric vehicle model.

While it carries over many details from the regular 2025 Cadillac Lyriq, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will omit two exterior paint colors from the current available palette, GM Authority has learned.

Specifically, the two 2025 Lyriq paint colors that will be absent from the 2026 Lyriq-V color lineup are Crystal White Tricoat (color code G1W) and Celestial Metallic (color code GJY).

Celestial Metallic isn’t available on the 2025 Cadillac Lyriq Sport 1, Sport 2 and Sport 3 trims, so it makes sense that it won’t be offered on the Lyriq-V either. Meanwhile, Crystal White Tricoat will likely be discontinued after the 2025 model year, since it’s being phased out on other Cadillac models such as the Cadillac CT4 and Cadillac CT5 sedans.

The assortment of exterior paint colors offered on the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will consist of the following seven options:

  • Argent Silver Metallic (GXD)
  • Emerald Lake Metallic (G6I)
  • Magnus Metal Frost (GBL)
  • Nimbus Metallic (G7X)
  • Opulent Blue Metallic (GTR)
  • Radiant Red Tintcoat (GNT)
  • Stellar Black Metallic (GB8)

Out of this list, only Argent Silver Metallic (color code GXD) is expected to be offered as a no-charge paint. Magnus Metal Frost has extremely limited availability.

While some details about the model are yet to emerge, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V features a dual-motor powertrain linked to a 102-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Output from this setup is rated at 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

This instant torque, plus use of the Velocity Max mode, will give the Lyriq-V a zero-to-60 mph time of 3.3 seconds. This means it accelerates faster than Cadillac’s premier high-performance ICE sedan, the Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing, though it’s likely the top speed of the Lyriq-V will be electronically limited versus the Blackwing’s 200+ mph.

As a reminder, the Cadillac Lyriq-V utilizes the GM BEV3 platform for structure, the same underpinnings that the regular Cadillac Lyriq rides on. Pricing starts at $79,990. The GM Spring Hill Assembly plant in Tennessee is the production site for the high-performance crossover.
