2025 GMC Yukon Gets Executive Second-Row Seating Package, But Yukon XL Doesn’t

General Motors unveiled the refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon last August, debuting a long list of updates and changes. Among these are new styling, an overhauled cabin, a revamped trim level lineup, and a cornucopia of top-shelf, premium features. Some buyers will no doubt be drawn to the Executive Second-Row Seating Package (RPO code ABV), which provides enhanced comfort for rear-seated passengers via a range of optional equipment. Oddly, while the refreshed 2025 Yukon Denali Ultimate is available with the Executive Second-Row Seating Package, the new 2025 Yukon XL Denali Ultimate is not.

Notably, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac Escalade and 2025 Escalade ESV also offer an Executive Second-Row Seating Package. That said, the package is available for both the 2025 Escalade and the Escalade ESV, specifically the Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V trim levels. As such, the package’s absence from the extended-length Yukon XL Denali Ultimate makes for something of a head-scratcher.

The Executive Second-Row Seating Package is priced at $3,995 for the Yukon Denali Ultimate, but requires the $2,000 Night Vision (RPO code UV3) feature. Meanwhile, the package is priced at $7,500 for the Escalade, while Night Vision is standard on Premium Luxury Platinum, Sport Platinum, and Escalade-V trims.

  1. Regular sized Yukon with the Exec Back Seat option, is the perfect config IMHO. Don’t care about 3rd row or XL.

  2. The option is currently constrained with not ETA….

  3. My 2019 GMC Acadia has 2 second row Captain’s chairs, passengers love them plenty of room. The third row seating is pretty much useless unless you are under 75 lbs I just keep those folded down for extra room to put things.
