The 2025 Corvette Stingray represents the sixth model year of the “base” model C8, for which it receives all kinds of small changes and updates. Let’s take a detailed look at everything that’s new and different about Chevy’s 2025 Corvette Stingray.
Model Cadence
The 2025 C8 Stingray follows the 2020 Corvette Stingray, which was the first year of the C8, followed by small changes for the 2021 Corvette Stingray, 2022 Corvette Stingray, 2023 Corvette Stingray and 2024 Corvette Stingray.
Model Line
The model line doesn’t see any changes for the 2025 model year, continuing with three trim levels and two body styles:
Body Styles
- Coupe (with a manually-removable hard top)
- Convertible (with a motorized hard top)
Trim Levels
- 1LT
- 2LT
- 3LT
Exterior
On the outside, the 2025 Corvette C8 features a handful of changes, starting with the deletion of seven exterior colors offered on the 2024 C8 Stingray, and the addition of three new ones:
Deleted colors:
- Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic
- Hypersonic Gray Metallic
- Carbon Flash Metallic
- Amplify Orange Tintcoat
- Accelerate Yellow Metallic
- Silver Flare Metallic
- Cacti Green
There’s also the deletion of Shadow Gray exterior accents, which were offered on both the Coupe and Convertible for the 2024 model year. In fact, this option was actually removed from ordering toward the tail end of 2024 C8 Stingray production. As GM Authority was first to report and show, the 2025 Corvette Stingray also gets a newly designed rear spoiler for models with the Z51 package.
Three new Genuine Corvette Accessories join the lineup: the Engine Specification Plaque, Engine Bay Closeout Graphics, and Rear Hatch Strut Bracket in Edge Red.
Engine Specification Plaque
- Included with Engine Appearance Package (RPO code B6P/ZZ3)
- Available on both Coupe and Convertible
Engine Bay Closeout Graphics
- Available only on Coupe, not available on Convertible
Rear Hatch Strut Bracket in Edge Red with Crossed Flags Logo
- Includes Crossed Flags Logo
- Available only on Coupe body style
Rounding out the exterior changes are new names for two existing color accents, as follows:
- Yellow stripes (DT0/DZU) change from Edge Yellow to Competition Yellow
- Yellow-painted calipers (J6E) change from Edge Yellow to Velocity Yellow
Interior
Inside, the 2025 Corvette Stingray adds a new interior colorway called Habanero that’s available only on the 3LT trim level and with either the GT2 or the Competition seats.
Additionally, Chevy added Blue custom leather stitching on the seats, instrument panel, doors and console. It requires the Jet Black interior and is available on Coupe and Convertible exclusively on the 3LT trim level.
The final change is that the 1LT and 2LT now use the leather steering wheel airbag cover from the 3LT. Prior model years had this part in a lower-grade, hard-touch material.
Mechanical
The 2025 Corvette Stingray does not see any changes to its mechanicals. The atmospheric 6.2L V8 LT2 engine remains, as does the dual-clutch eight-speed gearbox.
This dynamic duo has powered the C8 Stingray since its introduction for the 2020 model year, albeit with several key changes for the 2022 model year. The LT2 is rated at 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. Those figures increase five horsepower and five pound-feet of torque for models with the Performance Exhaust system, which is available as a standalone option and is included in the Z51 Performance Package.
Driver Assist Technology
Driver Assist Tech carries over from the 2024 model year, and is highlighted by Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist, and Side Blind Zone Alert.
Packages
On the package side of the equation, the 2025 Corvette Stingray gains four new appearance packages – the Adrenaline Red Accent Package, Edge Orange Accent Package, Tension Blue Accent Package, and Velocity Yellow Accent Package. Each one is available across all trim levels and on either the Coupe or Convertible.

The last change to the 2025 Corvette Stingray revolves around Engine Lighting (DV3), which is now included when a Stingray Coupe is optioned with the Edge Red engine cover, Sterling Silver-painted engine cover or the Coupe Engine Appearance Package. For the 2024 model year, Engine Lighting was optional on Coupe models and was not included when the optional engine covers were selected.
The updates and changes described here are specific to the U.S. market and may differ for other markets.
Where To From Here?
And that’s everything that’s new and different for the 2025 Corvette Stingray. Looking ahead, we still expect the Corvette C8 to receive the long-rumored refresh, though exact timing is unclear at this point. The update could certainly drop for the 2026 model year. We’ll be here every step of the way to bring you the latest, so be sure to subscribe to GM Authority for the latest Corvette news, Chevy news, and 24/7 GM news.

Different, I hope it sells well.
It has Florida plates on it. Maybe it’s Donnie’s.
I think the chance of him fitting into that Vette is about the same as Shaq. fitting into a size 10 shoe.
Ivan, I’ve read your comments on various discussions on here, and in every single one of them, you successfully manage to bring Trump into your idiotic comments. I can understand talking about Trump if the post is relevant and about politics. However, for most posts that you leave comments on, the post simply doesn’t relate to politics at all. You’re clearly mentally unwell, my friend. If you don’t like this great country, we would be more than glad as a community to start a GoFundMe for you, so you can get a one-way ticket back to Ukraine.
Ron
Ronross72. , Thank you. I have an immense distain for Donald Trump.
I’m not very happy with our president, Elon Musk either.
I will tell you the same thing I told “Uncle Al” when he told me to go back to Ukraine.
Are you really that stupid to think that my screen name Ivan, is my real name.
The majority, both electoral and popular, voted for Trump. His approval ratings, even CNN admits, are extremely high.
Having said that….maybe you should get over your personal opinion and see the good that’s happening…maybe even get a life and quit thinking like the losing side.
I am not new to Trump. I am a lifelong New Yorker. I know the low life that he really is. Trump and his crooked father used to get hauled into court so often in New York that it stopped making the news headlines.
Why do you think Trump left New York.
New York wouldn’t put up with Trump ripping people off, his scams, and other illegal activities. The truth, Trump is a morally, bankrupt, narcissistic, pathological liar.
Narcissus care only about themselves, he doesn’t care about America, the laws, or the people. He doesn’t even care about his rich buddies, he just uses them as he uses everyone.
There is no one he won’t throw under the bus even his loyal supporters.
Your first sentence is correct, the rest of your comment is not. Trump’s approval rating has been dropping weekly as the trailer park crowd who voted for him are seeing programs that they depend on eliminated. The funny thing is he told them he didn’t care about them he just wanted their vote. These retards cheered and applauded, now they all fear their food stamps, medicaid, and welfare will be gone. I’m enjoying the show.
spot on !!!!!!!
Ivan. Please seek psychatric help. You seem to be an angry., jealous, unaccomplished nobody on an obscure comment thread.
Trump. Twice elected president.
Successful, wealthy Manhattan Developer.
Musk’s accomplishments to name a few.
Tesla,Space X, xAI, Neuralink, The Boring Co.
Ivan, go away. That is not what this site is for, but rather to get away from politics and news. Find another site to comment on.
I’ll pay you to move with Rosie O’Donnell
Ronrose72 – great to see you acknowledge that this country has always been great.
100%
Those are “Manufacturers” plates….
DMV, on the top of the plate it clearly shows myflorida.com with a Florida insignia.
Clueless how manufacturer plates work just like all the other liberals. It is great seeing such a hate for something good just because the orange man says somethings that everyone is thinking. Keep letting him control your daily life and thoughts, it won’t get you anywhere in life. Sad people have to make anything that isn’t political into something political.
Colorway, what a STUPID word.
Or maybe you’re too dumb to realize it’s an industry term…
Up until recently, the term colorway and bespoke were never used in describing cars. You “special ordered” a car with the options you wanted back when you could actually choose options. Though the term “special order” simple meant you choose the options and ordered a car instead of the car dealer doing it. There really wasn’t anything special about it. It wasn’t a bespoke car. These two words are simply used now days to try and make the blandness that vehicles have become sound more special.
“The scheme of two or more colors in which a design is available. It is often used to describe variegated or ombre (shades of one color) print yarns, fabric, or thread. It can also be applied to apparel, to wallpaper and other interior design motifs, and to specifications for printed materials such as magazines or newspapers.”
What does Trump have to do with a Corvette. You guys are crazy. You can’t even read a good Corvette artical without some dummy talks about Trump. To the editor of this forum, you should delete any article that does not pretain to the Corvette.
…..my math tells me that this is the “6 th” model year……
Your math is fully correct 🙂
Was hoping to see an interior with a grab bar for the passenger, and access for the passenger to reach over to drivers side if needed.
Good point. We’ve been hearing about a revised interior IP eliminating the row of buttons for over two years now. If they wait long enough they might as well tie that into an exterior refresh…whenever they get around to that. Now that sales have slowed maybe they’ll push that along.
At least the back of the car is still ugly.
The article should be titled “Same Ol “new & different” and written as “same ol New” (New day – same story.” Can’t build the car after 5yrs of trying. Written as “Different”–same story – different day, they can’t build the car after 5yrs (and I’m just talking SR) I feel bad for anyone who’s ordered a Z06 or soon to be ZR1 (Thats a joke too) –already screwed up that production launch.
Great, now get rid of the geriatric golf bag trunk and add a McLaren type performance exhaust.
Geriatric golf bag trunk? WOW! Trunks hold whatever one decides to place in them.
The same is true of a person’s prejudices. Whether towards older persons or golfers.
If you like a McLaren, just buy one.
My spouse and I, whose ages combined equal 150, and who do not golf, use our trunk to hold our beautiful custom designed Corvette leather luggage. It allowed us to make a cross country, top- down, road trip from the National Corvette Museum, back home to California after picking up our 2021 C8 convertible at the NCM. Traversing 17 states in 17 days. Stopping to visit friends and family along the way. And completing my personal bucket list of road tripping in all 50 states.
Only until very recently has the wording colorways been used in articles about car interiors. The author, manufacturer are trying to make the drab colorless interiors sound special. An economy car from the 70’s had more interior color options than the vast majority of vehicles sold in today’s market. It is pathetic. Demand more. The word is akin to artisan being used instead of gourmet when describing foods. Bespoke instead of custom ordered or personalized. Craft brewed etc……
Year 6 of waiting for a gated manual transmission. Year 6 of GM disappointing enthusiasts and not getting sales from the track car crowd.
