Upcoming 2026 Chevy Spark EUV Officially Shown In Brazil

During the ceremony celebrating Chevrolet’s 100 years of operations in Brazil, General Motors officially showed the upcoming 2026 Chevy Spark EUV in the South American country.

2026 Chevy Spark EUV revealed on stage during GM's centenary ceremony in Brazil.

The automaker’s Brazilian subsidiary wrapped up the official event marking the 100th anniversary of its operations and the bowtie brand in Brazil by giving a brief glimpse of the upcoming all-electric 2026 Chevy Spark EUV, which GM Authority first exclusively revealed in late December 2024. The 2026 Spark EUV made a surprise appearance on stage at the official ceremony, providing a first look at Chevy Brazil’s upcoming EV.

Notably, this is the first time GM has officially shown the upcoming 2026 Chevy Spark EUV as Chevrolet’s new entry-level all-electric utility vehicle, which will be sold in several international markets. Although the automaker only gave a visual preview of the model rolling on stage and did not mention any details about the vehicle, the 2026 Spark EUV is the first of 10 new energy vehicles that the company is preparing for the country.

The upcoming 2026 Chevy Spark EUV unveiling at GM and Chevrolet’s centennial event in Brazil confirms our earlier report about the model’s addition to the brand’s lineup in the local market and its imminent global debut in that country. In fact, GM South America President Santiago Chamorro joked “while we’re on the subject of the future, here’s a taste of what we’ll be doing,” leaving open the possibility of the model being produced locally.

For those unaware, the brand-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV is a rebadged variant of the new Baojun Yep Plus designed and developed from the ground up by the company’s SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture in China. The zero-emissions small utility vehicle revives the nameplate of Chevrolet’s successful city car discontinued in 2022, which curiously was never sold in Brazil – where the new electric variant would introduce the nameplate for the first time.

The upcoming 2026 Chevy Spark EUV is expected to debut and be officially introduced in Brazil in the coming months, as one of the launches Chevy plans to make this year in South America’s largest country. Initially, the 2026 Spark EUV would arrive in the Brazilian market imported from China, but it is believed that it could begin to be manufactured in one of GM South America’s plants before the end of the decade.

  1. Worked in GMB in Project and CGS CAD Projects from 1995 to 1995 in the same S. Caetano. M y time at General Motors do Brasil were 70 years where got a Book, still have it, got a Pocket Watch, still have it but does not work anymore and got a glass still have it. We asked my demission in 1997 to try VWB, because GM did not invested on me even doing from my pocket Master in Design Styling at SPD Milan Italy for 1 year, and myever desire was design instead engineering, found me worse at Volkswagen and after catastrophic with indirect BMW in Munich from 1998 to 2005… now far of all that. What want to say passed 30 years and my time of Opel Products were also far forgot, now it is China as you see Wuling for R$ 400 000, salaries still very low. GMB still does some own brazilian projects for only south america like Montana but much less than in 1996… VWB only now imports VW Wolfsburg projects. It is clear GMB import a lot USA projects now.. already done… So the jobs disappeared there. BMW in Brasil only imports FIZ MUC projects so…. yeah in Brasil should have a new modern own Gurgel again, not so dependent to north hemisphere

  5. How about mentioning how much $ and if the price is right bring it to the USA. All we get is over priced garbage that’s still not reliable. A lot of people just want a dependable car to get to work and back.
