This Cadillac CT4 Convertible Rendering Actually Looks Pretty Slick

Cadillac boasts a long history sprinkled with some absolutely iconic luxury-laden convertible models. That said, the brand currently has no drop-tops whatsoever in its production portfolio, and although the brand seems to be at least toying with the idea, as indicated by the Cadillac Sollei concept unveiled in July, we can’t help but wonder what a more down-to-earth Cadillac droptop might look like. Now, a recently published rendering gives us an idea of what a potential Cadillac CT4 convertible could offer.

A Cadillac CT4 convertible rendering.

The rendering showcases a metallic silver exterior, exuding a premium, yet sporty vibe. The front fascia hints at Cadillac’s current design language (albeit vaguely), showing off a black mesh grille framed by dark-colored accents, with the “Cadillac badge” prominently displayed at the center. Sleek LED headlights stretch horizontally along the front, paired with vertical daytime running lights that cascade downwards, while the hood is subtly sculpted, adding just enough muscle to its aerodynamic form.

From the side, clean and flowing lines extend across the body, emphasizing the convertible’s low-slung stance. The multi-spoke alloy wheels, finished in glossy black with machined accents, are paired with low-profile tires, adding an aggressive performance edge to the design.

Inside, the black leather seats are accented with red stitching, which extends to other parts of the cabin, such as the headrests and door panels. While the dashboard isn’t fully visible in the rendering, we would love to see a layout similar to the refreshed CT5.

The convertible roof, when retracted, reveals a seamless rear deck lid with a minimalist design that complements the car’s streamlined silhouette. Although the rear is not entirely visible, Cadillac’s signature vertical taillight design is expected to mirror the sharpness of the front lighting elements.

Unfortunately, Cadillac has no known plans to bring a new CT4 convertible to market. Still, this rendering provides an exciting visual of what such a model could look like. Would you, dear reader, be tempted to purchase a new Cadillac CT4 drop-top like this? Post your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. “Actually” it looks just as bad as every other AI rendering published here. That’s not even a Cadillac logo. It’s a computer having a stroke. Please stop with this nonsense.

  2. Whoever rendered this… GIVE THAT MAN A CIGAR. It absolutely drips muscle and class, in equal doses. Which means it won’t ever be in a showroom with the real droopy-drawers CUV/EV Cadillac lineup.

  3. That’s what they call a “Dealer’s Wife’s” car.
Won’t sell many of them, but the Dealer’s wife is happy.

    1. Don’t put money a wife’s car. You’ll lose it all. I buy one at 75+ it’s better than a Camaro

  4. I think it looks great and would compete well with its competitors.

    1. I agree but it would have to be equipped with a twin turbo 3.6 [ No EV’s] and special paints

  6. I love the design, but I think it should be built on the CT5 platform. The extra length would allow for more reasonable back seat leg room. My guess is that even if Cadilac were to build a CT4 convertible, it would be a “China only” model, like all the new and improved models coming from Cadillac, including the new CT6 and XT5.

    1. YES, the CT5 platform would give it a usable back seat and the extra length would open the market to those wanting a less “dainty”(😱) looking vert (like the A5’s and BMW 1’s).

    2. Let’s go all the way and use the CT6 platform for a proper Eldorado Blackwing Biarritz ‘vert.

      1. Absolutely! Cadillac should stop the small car thing in the USA !
Make this, and a big convertible to take more then one passenger.

    3. It seems that GM cares more about China than the US.
China owns 51% of any company doing business in China and they have to share all manufacturing plans.

  7. I would love to see Cadillac come out with a drop top model. Hopefully, a comfortable 4 seater to take a cruise and get some ice cream with the kids or some friends.

  8. This would be right at home cruising up and down A1A with the constant parade of C-class, E-Class, 4-series, and Bentley cabriolets.

I’m a retired Dealer and would buy one for my Wife
Hope it has a lot of HP and not an EV

  10. I would love to see a rendering of a Bolt EUV convertible. An affordable fun-to-drive electric convertible would have the segment to itself and extend GM’s products to a new group of buyers.

  11. If it cost less than $80,000 I’m in for one. I’m getting too old to continue my C8 corvette.

  12. DEFINATELY LOOKS REFRESHING AND CLASSY. IN MY OLDER AGE I FIND I WOULD BE INTERESTED IN HAVING ONE, BUT LIKE ONE RESPONDER HAS SAID, IT WILL PROBABLY BE FOR THE CHINESE MARKET ONLY! ALSO A COMPLETE TURNOFF WOULD BE IF IT IS NON FOSSIL POWERED!
