GM has issued a new Customer Satisfaction Program for the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD and the 2025 GMC Sierra HD related to an issue in which certain units were delivered to fleet customers without the extra key fobs they had optioned.
Per GM Customer Satisfaction Program number N242482060, “Customer Missing Additional Key Fobs,” the extra key fobs are now available for the affected Chevy Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD trucks.
The missing key fobs in question are for fleet buyers who ordered the (RPO code 5H1) option that adds two more key fobs for the truck to the two key fobs that come standard with the vehicle, for a total of four key fobs per Chevy Silverado HD or GMC Sierra HD pickup.
Notably, the extra key fob 5H1 option is available on the Work Truck (WT) and LT trim levels of the Silverado HD and on the Pro trim level of the Sierra HD. It’s currently unclear how many customers took delivery of their trucks without their additional key fobs.
As a fix for the problem, the customer satisfaction program instructs dealers to provide customers with the two extra key fobs that are now available. Notably, these key fobs are supplied to the customer unprogrammed. In order to get the key fobs programmed, the customer will need to pay the associated expense.
As a reminder, both the 2025 Chevy Silverado HD and the 2025 GMC Sierra HD have the same powerplant lineup. Both trucks are equipped as standard with the naturally aspirated 6.6L V8 L8T gasoline engine developing 401 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and 464 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. Optionally, they can be motivated by the 6.6L V8 L5P turbodiesel Duramax engine providing 470 horsepower at 2,800 rpm and 975 pound-feet of torque at 1,600 rpm.
As a reminder, both HD trucks are underpinned by a more rugged variant of the GM T1 platform. Production takes place at the GM Flint Assembly plant in Michigan for both models and additionally at the GM Oshawa plant in Canada for the Chevy Silverado HD.

Pick them up and say no thank you on the programing and take them to a locksmith if you want to save a buck.
