A new Service Bulletin issued by GM states that the brake master cylinder may require replacement in certain 2024 Chevy Traverse crossovers because certain internal parts were left out of the component during manufacturing.
As Service Bulletin N242482170 describes, affected 2024 Chevy Traverse units were produced with a brake master cylinder that is missing the internal cartridge seal in the eBoost module. The fix for the problem is complete replacement of the brake master cylinder, followed by the addition of new brake fluid to the vehicle.
The fix should be applied to any Chevy Traverse from the 2024 model year that are brought back to the dealership for any reason. Furthermore, all Traverse units in dealer inventory should be checked for the problem and the brake master cylinder promptly replaced if affected units are found. The repair is available until the end of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty period for the Traverse in question.
As a reminder, the 2024 Chevy Traverse debuted the crossover model’s all-new third generation with a new exterior design, a new interior, new tech, and a new powertrain. Also new for the third-gen Traverse is the Z71 trim level that features improved approach and departure angles and roughly an inch more ground clearance (7.76 inches) than other trims.
One powerplant, the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine developing 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque, motivates the vehicle. This engine is paired with GM’s eight-speed automatic transmission, which is a variant of the nine-speed used on the prior model, but with one gear lobbed off.
Under the body panels, a revised version of the long-wheelbase variant of the GM C1 platform, fitted with Global B digital architecture, provides the bones for the Traverse. Production takes place at the GM Lansing Delta Township plant in Michigan.

Ah the new Traverse !
Everything I read about the “new” body style & the turbo 4, does not bode well, even an article written on the “new” Buick Avenir (sp) with the turbo 4 ($60K+), lotsa noise getting up to speed
Why didn’t they just bump up the numbers on the 3.6 V6 (350hp/350torque), and make it a 9-10 speed automatic, it would have gotten close to the 4 banger CAFE ratings.
Oh well
Because government thats why.
I waited for the new body style to come out was very interested in purchasing a new Traverse until I saw it came with 4 cylinder with turbo and the problem 8 speed transmission. Come on GM put the V6 back in it.

Is there a link to this specific bulletin? Someone posted they mentioned this article to their dealership and was told its either not an active bulletin or their vehicle wasn’t involved. Iv’e been searching but haven’t been able to find the actual bulletin.
