BMW has officially unveiled the refreshed 2026 BMW iX, showing off a series of updates for its all-electric two-row crossover. The new iX now features revised styling, improved performance, and extended range, rivaling competing Cadillac EVs like the Lyriq, Escalade IQ, and Vistiq.
While the Cadillac Vistiq is a three-row crossover, the BMW iX remains a two-row model, making it a closer alternative to the Lyriq. However, when it comes to pricing, the iX slots between the Lyriq and the larger Escalade IQ, bringing it more in line with the Vistiq.
Outside, the 2026 BMW iX showcases a refreshed exterior with a redesigned grille, the latter of which includes an available illumination function. The headlights have been updated as well. For those seeking a sportier appearance, the new M Sport Package adds in things like new accents and body trim enhancements, updated air intakes, and exclusive M alloy wheels. Wheel sizing is set at 20-inches standard, while 21-inch 22-inch wheels are optional.
The M Sport Package also enhances the iX’s cabin with new M Multi-Function seats with greater lateral support. As for tech, the 2026 BMW iX is equipped as standard with the Driving Assistant Plus package, which includes things like Forward Collision Mitigation, Active Blind Spot Detection, Lane Keeping Assistant, Speed Limit Assistant, Distance Control, and Steering Assistant, all of which can be used at speeds of up to 112 mph. Additionally, BMW offers Highway Assistant, a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system which enables hands-off driving at speeds up to 85 mph.
The 2026 BMW iX is available in three trims – the iX xDrive45 (402 horsepower, 312 miles of range, 0-to-60 mph in 4.9 seconds), the iX xDrive60 (536 horsepower, 340 miles of range, 0-to-60 mph in 4.4 seconds), and the range-topping iX M70 xDrive (650 horsepower, 302 miles of range, 0-to-60 mph in 3.6 seconds)
The refreshed BMW iX starts at $75,150, while the 2025 BMW iX xDrive60 is $88,500 and the 2025 BMW iX M70 xDrive is $111,500. For reference, the three-row 2025 Cadillac Vistiq starts at $78,790. Production of the 2026 BMW iX will begin in March at BMW’s Dingolfing Plant in Germany, with first deliveries expected to kick off in the second quarter of the 2025 calendar year.

Agree. Their styling direction is headed the wrong direction. They’ve turned their iconic grille into ugly nostrils.

If Edsel offered an SUV…
Woof!
The new BMW iX!! Now with twice as much ugly!!
really… do not understand how BMW sells so well in USA with such cars
Why does BMW insist on beating its new models with an ever bigger Ugly Stick?
So glad my Z3 was designed when BMWs still looked good!
If all you naysayer’s want to do is look at your car parked in your driveway, you will never understand why BMW is so popular in the US. Drive the iX just once and you will understand – best car I’ve owned in 60 years of driving!
Hey bb, speak for yourself and as a BMW driver please respect the road rules and don’t drive as you have stolen your beater
