It starts with the RS trim with AWD. This actually has the same starting price as the Activ trim with AWD, but when you add every option you can, the fully loaded RS model is pricier.

Some of the most expensive factory options you can add to the 2025 Chevy Equinox RS include a dual-pane power sunroof (RPO CAJ) for $1,495, Iridescent Pearl Tricoat (G1W) paint for $995, and 20-inch black wheels (RTG) for $500.

There are two option packages that add to the price tag pretty significantly. The Safety and Technology Pack (CWN) for $1,085 adds a rear camera mirror, front fog lamps, an HD surround vision camera, traffic sign recognition, and rear pedestrian alert. There’s also the Convenience Package III (ZQ3) for $950, adding ventilated front seats, an 8-way power front passenger seat with power lumbar, driver memory settings, and heated rear outboard seats.

Many dealer-installed LPO options are available, and they add up when you add as many as you can. Some of the more expensive ones include roof rack cross rails (LPO VLL) for $395, the floor liner package (PDK) for $295, an integrated cargo liner (CAV) for $175, a retractable cargo shade (VRS) for $175, and a highway safety kit (S08) for $155.

With all of the features listed above, a fully loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox costs $44,113, including the $1,395 destination charge. That’s more than $8k more than the starting price of the Equinox RS with AWD.

In case you’re wondering, we optioned a fully loaded 2025 Chevy Equinox Activ with AWD and raised the price to $43,838. It has splash guards (VQK) for $225, but the RS model’s optional 20-inch wheels aren’t available on the Activ.

  1. The $32K FWD LT would be just fine for me. With an $8K discount, even better. I’ve seen $6K so far. I see the ’26s have an Order Guide already, so guess the ’25s were a very short model year. I’d wait for a ’26 anyway, but not buying until next year. Maybe, depending on politics and the economy, ahem.

  2. This is the main problem with GM on all models: they cost more and have less content than the Asian competition. GM has to figure out a way to get closer to Asian prices and content.

  3. To Beachy29579…Let me know where they are discounting the 2025 Equinox for $6K. The best I see in the Western Pennsylvania, Eastern Ohio area is at most $1000 on a sale with no trade in. Some dealers give nothing but are pushing the $500 military, college, and first responder discount and that’s it! I remember the days when the military discount was about $1300, and rebates were $2K-$3K.
I guess GM is using the extra profits to fund their EV’s.
Asian vehicles are looking better…I hate that!

  4. Equinox is a pc of junk. That 1.5 l turbo for vehicle weighing 3,000 lb is a dog in performance. Will stick with a RAV4.

    1. Steven,
I beg to differ with you. I purchased a new 2025 RS AWD in September and absolutely love it. The 1.5 with the increased torque and 8 speed transmission performs flawlessly. I previously owned a 2018 Equinox Premier 2.0 and find this 25 to be virtually equal in performance and fuel efficiency. Besides the fact that the 25 has a new bold look with a lot more safety features and more attention paid to the interior. All around it is a GREAT VEHICLE and much better than any RAV4 (speaking of junk) could ever be.

      1. Chevyman: Steven lost all cred when they first said the 1.5 is junk. They put the icing on the cake when trying to claim the POS Rav4 is better.

He/she/they (steven) needs to go back to scrubbing the toilets at the local Toyota dealer.

        1. The RAV4 is the number one seller in the segment. The only PoS is your blind brand loyalty Ignorance.

      2. The new CVT and 8 speed do give the little 1.5T added off the line response but there is no way on earth it compares in any way with the former 2.0T and 9 speed in overall performance especially 0-60 and 1/4 mile times. The interesting thing is that both Motor Trend and C&D tested 2025 Equinoxes with AWD and the new 8 speed and got slower 0-60 times than the outgoing 1.5T/6 speed variants mainly due to weight increase and larger tires. They only got 8.6 seconds which is 2 full seconds slower than the 2.0T. The biggest difference is on the open road where the 1.5 quickly runs out of steam and the 2.0 continues to pull well. I know because I have driven both extensively

  7. Hello Chances, Apparently you have never owned or driven a CHEVY EQUINOX, the best of the best. Much better than any Foreign S—-t Box. Wake up and drive a real SUV. Or be like Steven who commented above and go clean toilets at a foreign s—t box dealership.

    1. Had a 2015 and a 2016 Equinox. Both with the oil consumption issues by 75,000 miles that GM said they had fixed by 2013. Oh and one of the two needed sensors replaced (past the warranty) and both were getting noisy and needed new mufflers which almost never happens in a modern car. Best of the best? Apparently not. You can say what you want about Toyota, but if you want a vehicle that will run 300,000 miles with no engine issues your best bet is with one of theirs. And that’s why they are the number one auto company in the world.

      1. I had the same oil consumption issue with my 2017 Equinox. The engine had to be replaced at 130,000 miles. The car barely lasted 6 years.

  8. The Equinox and Terrain are overall nice compact utes with many good points. It’s the niggling little annoyances that bother me. Why does the LT and Terrain have a plastic blank out cover where the Sun glasses holder was on all previous trim models? Why can’t I option up a power driver’s seat with cloth and instead need to spend 2200 on the Nox and 2700 on the Terrain for crap I don’t need or want just to get that feature which also forces me into vinyl seats? Why is the second row seat fixed? This was not the case on the first 2 generations and the Terrain had a fold flat passenger seat which has also been eliminated.
I also don’t care for the all black lung interior where even the headliner and side pillars are black which cheapens the look inside. They need to offer the interior color combo that is available on the new Terrain which is Gideon gray/after dark both in cloth and vinyl.

I also think a Premier trim should be offered as few are looking to take these family Suv’s off road and both a 2.0T and hybrid should be offered as it is on most competitors. 44K is a lot of money for tepid 8.6 second 0-60 power and very limited towing. With the slightly larger Blazer having its days numbered this is all especially important as the Nox will be taking its spot and the Terrain has already replaced the former mid sized Acadia now that it has grown to the larger chassis. The 1.5T is okay for the lower trim entries or as the base engine but has class trailing MPG, power figures and towing so really needs to be upgraded or redesigned
