Here’s When 2026 Cadillac CT5 Production Is Scheduled To Start

The Cadillac CT5 is part of a dying breed. Alongside its smaller sibling, the Cadillac CT4, the CT5 is one of two remaining ICE-based GM four-doors available in the U.S., with that list recently shrinking thanks to the discontinuation of the Chevy Malibu. Nevertheless, GM introduced a mid-cycle refresh for the Cadillac CT5 in conjunction with the 2025 model year, and now, GM Authority has learned when production of the subsequent 2026 Cadillac CT5 will get under way.

The 2026 Cadillac CT5 will be very similar to the preceding 2025 model year.

According to sources familiar with the matter, the start of regular production (SORP) for the 2026 Cadillac CT5 will begin for June 2nd, 2025, while dealers will begin processing orders on May 1st. To note, these dates are for the “standard” CT5, and not the V-Series model variants. Additionally, it should be noted that these dates are tentative, and may change in the future.

For those who may have missed it, the refreshed 2025 Cadillac CT5 introduced an updated design, a new cabin, new tech features, and more. The forthcoming 2026 Cadillac CT5 is expected to be largely unchanged compared to the preceding 2025 model year, with only a few small updates anticipated, such as a revised exterior paint options list.

Highlights from the recent 2025-model-year refresh include revamped exterior styling with long vertical lighting elements in the corners of the fascia and a revised bumper. Moving in the cabin, the updated CT5 sports a large 33-inch digital display that combines the sedan’s gauge cluster and central infotainment screen, lying horizontally across the dash. Other standout additions include an AKG premium audio system, as well as Super Cruise, GM’s semi-autonomous hands-free driving system.

Non-V-Series variants of the 2026 Cadillac CT5 are powered by one of two engine options, starting with the standard turbocharged 2.0L I4 LSY gasoline engine, rated at 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, followed by the twin-turbocharged 3.6L V6 LGY gasoline engine, rated at 335 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.

All CT5 variants ride on the GM Alpha 2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Lansing Grand River plant in Michigan.
