The 2024 Corvette marks the fifth model year for the eighth-generation sports car, introducing the new hybrid-powered, all-wheel-drive C8 E-Ray, as well as a few small updates for the C8 Stingray and C8 Z06. GM produced a total of 42,934 units of the C8 during the 2024 model year, with each model variant offered in multiple trim levels and body configurations. Now, we’re serving up a full production breakdown for the 2024 Corvette.
Looking at the numbers, it should come as no surprise that the C8 Stingray accounted for the majority of 2024 Corvette production, with 18,139 Coupes (42.3 percent) and 12,803 Convertibles (29.8 percent) sold, comprising 72.1 percent of overall production. Among Stingray trims, the 2LT trim was the most popular, with 8,378 Coupes and 5,802 Convertibles produced, or 27.1 percent and 18.8 percent of total Stingray sales, respectively. The 1LT trim followed, representing 25.3 percent of Stingray production, while the premium 3LT trim accounted for 28.9 percent.
Meanwhile, the C8 Z06 made up 24.6 percent of the production total, including 5,327 Coupes (12.4 percent) and 5,248 Convertibles (12.2 percent). Buyers gravitated toward the top-tier 3LZ trim, which made up 72.5 percent of Z06 sales (3,438 Coupes and 4,225 Convertibles combined). The 2LZ and 1LZ trims accounted for 19.8 percent and 7.7 percent of Z06 sales, respectively.
The new-for-2024 hybrid E-Ray represented just 3.3 percent of total C8 production for the 2024 model year with 599 Coupes (1.4 percent) and 818 Convertibles (1.9 percent) manufactured. The 3LZ trim was the clear favorite, comprising 69 percent of E-Ray production (371 Coupes and 606 Convertibles). Lower trims like the 2LZ and 1LZ were significantly less popular, together making up the remaining 31 percent.

As GM Authority covered previously, Arctic White (paint code G8G) was the most popular exterior color across all variants, followed by Torch Red (paint code GKZ) and Black (paint code GBA), all of which are no-cost options. As for the most popular wheels, the Carbon Flash-painted wheels with a machined edge (RPO code Q8Q) led for Stingray, Spider Design Black Forged aluminum wheels (RPO code SOA) were the top pick for the Z06, and Gloss Black forged aluminum wheels (RPO code SON) led for the E-Ray.
All C8 variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, while production takes place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

While this article gives an overview on corvette sales, it lacks an important detail. How many cars were dealer spec’d and ordered verses customer spec’d and ordered cars. Then, of the dealer spec’d cars, how many customers settle on less or more than what they wanted instead of waiting months for a car they spec’d and ordered. Every time I have went to a dealer to order a vehicle, the salesperson says, let me see if I can find that specific vehicle for you. They come back with, I found three similar vehicles to what you want but not the exact optioned vehicle. I could put you in that vehicle today and you wouldn’t have to wait bla, bla, bla.
MUCH CHEAPER TIRE & WHEEL CLEANER SUBSTITUTE:
Here’s a great tip I just discovered today for CLEANING the coated finish sterling silver alloy WHEELS on my 2021 C8, to rid them of the annoying brake dust:
When I ran out of the spray can of pricy foaming tire-wheel cleaner I normally use, I thought for a moment about a possible substitute I might have on hand.
Then the light bulb went off in what is left of my brain after chemo…..
And I grabbed our can of SC Johnson Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming shower Cleaner from the bathroom cabinet.
Checked the label for ingredients and restrictions.
Figured if it was gentle enough to clean plumbing fixtures, some of which are even clear finish coated…..it was worth a try.
So I tried some on a small, inconspicuous area of one wheel.
And voila!
It worked even BETTER than the spray can of tire-wheel cleaner I had recently bought. You know, the stuff that costs over $10 / 20 oz can at the local auto parts store.
So instead of $10 / 20 oz can, I spent only $4.50 / 20 oz. can for Scrubbing Bubbles on Amazon.
No joke!
Once you’ve “scrubbing bubbled your wheels, you won’t go back”!
This says 2024. Isn’t it 2025?? Idc about last year’s production!
Deb, it’s a little early to know the 2025 numbers until there done building them. A yr early
