  1. 43,000 Corvette’s is a lot of Corvette’s produced. Good job Chevrolet. Proof that when GM sets it’s mind to excellence it is rewarded. Now, if they could only use that same philosophy to the rest of the vehicles GM makes, they might have something. I’m guessing they will keep the E-Ray around since it’s rumored the electric motors will be used for the Zoro Vette but if they canceled it, doesn’t look like it would be missed.

  2. I was booed when I said the E-Ray was a sales dud. I can see now how wrong I was. Apologies to all the E-Ray lovers out there.

    1. E-ray is way, way too expensive, and it shouldn’t be on the widebody.
Then, it’s got a better buyer case for a typical Vette guy that never tracks.

      1. The ERay runs like a bandit. The low ‘24 production rate was do to plant issues not Orders. I had my order in the 1st day the dealers got the ERay it their order system., it took til Oct 16th to be built!! By the way, I like it better the myC8 Z06!!

  5. Why Corvette doesnt build more Z06 cars is a mystery to me. No wait lists for the stingray for a while now and inventory of stingrays are every where..

    1. As the owner of a ’24 C8 Z06 3LZ, it is quite simple why GM does not make more Z06’s. It is the same with all auto manufacturers and their high-end models. You can snatch up a C8 Stingray 3LT for ~$75k, but a C8 Z06 3LZ is going to list for ~$125k. Obviously, a Stingray is much more attainable than a Z06 (financially); therefore, GM makes more of the cheaper model.

  6. gm wizards might consider they’d get more Z06, E-Ray and ZR1 orders if some of the greedy dealers didn’t mark those models up so high. Of course, these days they are offering big discounts to clear them out.
I know they can sell them for whatever price they wish but in the car business there is such a thing called allocation, hmmmm?!

  7. Here’s a great tip I just discovered today for CLEANING the coated finish sterling silver alloy WHEELS on my 2021 C8, to rid them of the annoying brake dust:
When I ran out of the spray can of pricy foaming tire-wheel cleaner I normally use, I thought for a moment about a possible substitute I might have on hand.
Then the light bulb went off in what is left of my brain after chemo…..
And I grabbed our can of SC Johnson Scrubbing Bubbles Foaming shower Cleaner from the bathroom cabinet.
Checked the label for ingredients and restrictions.
Figured if it was gentle enough to clean plumbing fixtures, some of which are even clear finish coated…..it was worth a try.
So I tried some on a small, inconspicuous area of one wheel.
    And voila!
It worked even BETTER than the spray can of tire-wheel cleaner recently bought. You know, the stuff that costs over $10 / 20 oz can at the local auto parts store.
So instead of $10 / 20 oz can, I spent only $4.50 / 20 oz. can for Scrubbing Bubbles on Amazon.
    No joke!
Once you’ve “scrubbing bubbled your wheels, you won’t go back”!

  9. The reason I never got a C7 is because they made to many. The car was nothing special when u c 15 a day and no resale value. Now there doing it to the C8s. Luckily my ZO6/ZO7 is still kind of rare, for a while anyway.
