Sporting muscular, truck-inspired styling and an assortment of new technology and safety features, the 2025 GMC Terrain launches the third generation of Big Red’s compact five-door crossover. Several changes are also introduced to the palette of GMC Terrain colors for the new model year.
Two exterior GMC Terrain colors are retired for the 2025 model year, namely Riptide Blue Metallic (color code GJV) and Deep Bronze Metallic (GXN), while two new GMC Terrain colors – Rapids Metallic (GAL) and Riverstone Metallic (GFR) – join the offered selection.
GM offers six 2025 GMC Terrain colors in all. Currently, only the entry-level Elevation trim is available. The third-gen off-road capable AT4 trim and premium Denali trim level will only rejoin the lineup for the 2026 GMC Terrain, to be introduced later in this calendar year.

These include the Safety Alert Seat (RPO code HS1), Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking and Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Buckle to Drive, and more.
Pricing for the crossover, as uncovered by GM Authority, starts at a base MSRP of $31,395 for the Elevation with FWD and $33,395 for AWD. A $1,395 destination freight charge is included in these figures. The official configurator for the 2025 Terrain has been live since December.
For motivation, the 2025 GMC Terrain cradles the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine under the hood, rated at 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. Fuel economy ratings for the vehicle have changed slightly compared to the 2024 model year.
The GM D2 platform provides the bones for the 2025 Terrain. Production of the crossover for the North American market takes place at the GM San Luis Potosà plant in Mexico.

Can’t be more straightforward: black, white, darker grey, lighter grey, blue, red.
Give me a 2.0T with around 240 hp and I will take a blue one.
Have Volcanic Red on my 24. When the Sun’s out it looks like dark Candy Apple. A good color.
GM, We like the vehicle but need more horses.
