The GMC Canyon received a comprehensive overhaul for the 2023 model year, launching the midsizer’s third generation. Among the upgrades is a redesigned front end and revamped lighting elements, which lend the pickup a more modern look. While the updated design is sure to turn heads, some owners might want to elevate the Canyon’s appearance even further. Enter the Amber Running Light Harness from Venom Trucks, an aftermarket upgrade designed to add a custom touch to the Canyon’s front-end lighting.
This mod is compatible with units of the GMC Canyon produced between 2023 and 2025 model years. The kit features a plug-and-play harness that modifies the truck’s Daytime Running Lights (DRLs), allowing them to emit a vibrant amber glow during the daytime. At night, the system automatically switches the DRLs back to white, ensuring a seamless look when the sun goes down. For those seeking additional control, the DRL color can also be manually adjusted using the automatic headlight controller, shifting the lights from amber to white.
The amber DRLs offer a distinctive yet refined aesthetic that complements the Canyon’s updated design, especially the large, rectangular grille. The added pop of color enhances the truck’s road presence without being overly ostentatious. The Amber Running Light Harness also stands out for its simplicity, with the manufacturer stating that installation takes less than five minutes, making it an accessible modification for even novice DIYers. What’s more, the kit also comes with a two-year replacement warranty.
The Venom Trucks amber light mod kit is priced at $119.99, per the Venom Trucks website. The kit is currently on backorder, with an estimated lead time of four weeks. To note, the harness is not compatible with Canyon models equipped with LED turn signal mirrors or illuminated step bars. The manufacturer says that it is working on a solution to expand compatibility for these particular configurations.

It looks awful, as it does on Kias that all have the amber.
Raptor lights, how original…
Its not my cup of tea
I like the look of that.
kinda depends on color of the truck if amber looks better than white or not. For sure, a white truck needs white drl’s.
This is making me realize that I may not like the canyon design. From the get go I was iffy but this drl color change really makes the front end look like it’s protruding outwards.much like quagmires chin.
I can’t wait to see the 2028 Canyon/Colorado EREV / BEV midsize truck to compete with R1T or Scout Terra and the midgate option, just like the Silverado/ Sierra BEV. Along with the SUV version bringing the “Blazer” back to it’s roots a midisze Contender against the Rivian R1S or Scout Traveler
I want my amber fender lights white
