The full-sizers also offer all-electric models.

  1. Well, would ya look at that tricked-out little red Montana. JUST LOOK AT IT! Would be fun to climb in that saddle and ride. It’s got all the accoutrements!

  2. I for one am totally shocked that these overpriced trucks are still selling along with the interest rates that are being offered. People must enjoy having monthly payments larger than most house payments. SMFH

    1. True, but you can get a decent Chevy for a reasonable price. Too many people can’t control themselves when buying vehicles. They buy vehicles that they don’t need and then end up forgoing retirement savings contributions, kids’ college funds, emergency rainy day savings, and etc. But, dad drives an HD diesel he doesn’t need and mom has the latest SUV. Terrible wastes of money for most people. But they fall for the advertising hype and keeping up with the Joneses. Sad.

      1. Yeah, a lot of people lack financial skills beyond the very basic ones of covering the bills for the month and putting anything extra on the credit cards. They don’t realize that they will never have anything but their house which they may have to sell to live after they retire, if they can retire before death or disability.

        1. I went through that phase for e few years but outgrew it at about age 25 when I got a wife and a house then babies.

      2. Fully Agree.
The whole “mine’s bigger than yours” – or mine’s faster than yours amongst a lot of guys who don’t really even use em as trucks has gotten way out of hand.
I mean who doesn’t like a nice truck… but these days I drive a little Silverado LT with 18′ wheels and enjoy the hell out of it. Free n’ easy. It’s got everything I need, and nothin’ I don’t. I’m not afraid to do bulk mulch and topsoil in ‘er either. And, I’m not in the rat race on the way to work….

        Reply
        1. The problem is inflation…and price.

In Qatar, 10 years ago a LT would cost 120k riyals. Now, an LT will cost close to or just above 200k riyals with options…

          Too expensive and unaffordable….

  3. Not everyone wants the GMC jacked up suspension. So they go over to Chevy for the normal ride height. GMC should have a lower suspension model.

  4. Times have changed. I remember growing up in the 60’s in a middle class family. It was a big deal if someone in the family or neighborhood got a brand new car. All of the neighbors talked about it and went to see it. I was 10 when we got our first brand new car. It was a very basic 69 Chevy Bel Air without AC. The only options it had were automatic transmission, power steering, and 327 V-8 engine. It helped that my dad worked for GM so he got the employee discount.

  5. While full size GM trucks outsold the F series, Ford sold more ‘trucks’ overall in the US last year (1,043,577) than GM (1,021,225) for the first time in awhile. Yes, the ‘fake truck’ Maverick (157,345) helped a lot and is poised to surpass the Taco in 2025 at current growth rates (-18% Taco / +60% Maverick) and already outsells the Colorado + Canyon (136,499 combined). The Maverick will also outsell the Tundra in 2025 (159,528) as well. As I said before, GM missed a golden opportunity in the US ‘compact’ truck market and Toyota has a smaller truck coming as well. While I find it fugly, its 42 MPG city is better than most commuter cars and it has enough utility for most people.
