GM Full-Size Truck Sales - USA - 2024 Calendar Year
That annual Chevy figure of less than 2% is not impressive. Good 4th quarter numbers all around, though, but you have to wonder if it was due to concern about Trump’s tariffs coming. They keep spouting off about a big decline in incentives when other automakers keep increasing them. Another thing to watch out for this year.
Malibu sold 3/4 of all Cadillac sales and gets discontinued. Another smart move by Mary and crew. Imagine if it was remodeled and had a 9 spd transmission.
The Malibu is a high-volume product with relatively low margins, in a segment that’s shrinking every year.
All Cadillacs are low-volume products with substantially higher margins, in segments that are either stable or growing. The XT4 is a prime example: shares a chassis with the Malibu, but sells for twice the price.

You have successfully made GM’s own point.
