As one of the measures to commemorate the brand’s 100 years of operations in the country, General Motors has just announced five Chevrolet launches for 2025 in Brazil.
During the Chevrolet centenary celebration ceremony in Brazil, the automaker confirmed that it will further expand its local investments through 2028, diversify its business areas in the country, and launch 10 electrified models in the coming years, in addition to announcing five bowtie brand vehicle launches for the new calendar year. Chevy will continue to renew its portfolio in the Brazilian market with greater emphasis on electrified models.
“In 2025, GM plans to launch five new models in various segments,” said GM Brazil in a statement. “In addition, the company is working on developing 10 new electrified models in the coming years for Brazil, with the aim of strengthening its portfolio and offering diversified options for consumers seeking more sustainable and efficient mobility solutions,” the company added.
While not revealing any details about the brand’s upcoming product launches in the South American country, company leadership describes Chevrolet’s five 2025 launches in Brazil as “major” and said they will be focused on “important segments” of the local market. GM executives said this year’s launches include refreshes of current models and all-new vehicles.
In fact, the five Chevrolet launches in Brazil will be carried out in two phases, the first of which will be marked by the renewal of the brand’s current portfolio and the second will represent Chevrolet’s official entry into market segments in which it currently does not operate. As such, this year’s product innovations will reinforce the brand’s offering and competitiveness in the Brazilian market.
Among the five Chevrolet launches for 2025 in Brazil are expected to be the updated version of the Chevy Onix in both body styles, the mid-cycle refreshed Chevy Tracker, the all-new 2026 Chevy Spark EUV fully electric mini-utility vehicle, and quite possibly the Chevrolet variant of the electrified Wuling Starlight S compact crossover. All details will be revealed progressively as each model’s introduction approaches.

seems ok but when i see GM a US company importing more chinese products to the americas , i wonder if the y are more for stock brokers not loyal to USA
GM and the other domestics pay their people way too much so they try to shift as much assembly overseas as they can. And then you have DEI and AA and really, who would you want to screw your new vehicle together. Actually, GM’s stock is crap. Most top analysts won’t touch it for investment purposes because they think GM will be bought up or bankrupt in the next 10 to 15 years. The stock has rallied from the mid 20’s to 60 and then back to 50. Since the GFE, GM’s stock has gone no where. Not an investable equity.
Most institutions do not hold stocks for 10 to 15 years.
I feel like most people here just type in DEI and have no idea what it means. They just know that it scares them and they don’t know why.
Ehditor You are 100% correct. Certain buzz words like DEI, WOKE, PC are boogy men even though most people know nothing of their meaning.
Now free school lunches and Medicaid are being called WOKE and the sheep would rather starve than question authority
as far as free school lunches, why is it my job to feed someone else’s kids?
I like the stock price fluctuations, I make a killing on it. Buy it when it’s down, sell it when it’s up.
I’ll use the gains and my $16,000 profit sharing and employee discount to buy a new GM vehicle.
Whining and jealousy will get you nowhere Joe G.
Most of us don’t have that opportunity. And I think you meant to thank the GM loyalists for your profit share check. Without the customer you don’t have a job with those kind of benefits.
jeffhoutx84,
You are absolutely right. I am thankful for everyone that buys and boasts GM products.
30 years at GM hasn’t been a walk in the park.
Layoffs, plant closings, bankruptcy, relocating to a different city. Driving junk because a Bank wouldn’t give you an auto loan because your GM job was to unstable. I had to make the decision to move on or stick with it. I stuck with it.
It irks me when I hear people whine simply because someone is getting something they’re not. Everyone has choices in life.
Endeavor to persevere.
I’m 100% with you! Jelious people loath the unions that built America. These people would kill for a Union job yet vote for anti union politicians and go against their own self-interest
Trump was supposed to bring back good manufacturing jobs to the US in his first presidency. He also didn’t;
Build a wall and Mexico will pay for it.
Open the coal mines and put the miners back to work by exporting coal overseas.
Trump did complete one of the largest tax overhauls in US history. The tax overhaul benefited the richest 1% of Americans. It did nothing for the average wage earner.
He also managed to be impeached twice, and later convicted of 34 felony counts in New York state. I’m sure this presidency will be a greater circus than his last one, and by circus I mean a disappointment to anyone who is not one off the very rich.
Biden did far more for job growth. CHIPS Act, Infrastructure, Green New Deal will create millions of jobs over the next decade, return domestic manufacturing, but Trump will claim credit.
Biden and Dems didn’t communicate well that change takes time and they didn’t boast every 5 minutes like Trump. Biden’s team set Trump up for strong jobs growth if he doesn’t screw it up by deporting too many workers
10 new models of GMB Chevrolet in Brasil until 2028 or in 3 years 3 per year is a great expectation for me… hope to have among them beautiful sedan with chromes, simple forms, elegance, 4 doors, ethanol etc… we hope not only SUVs complicated as the earlier trend and not also only RVs for R$ 500 000 each
It appears that Trump and Musk’s bromance is getting a little shaky. Musk is getting a little too much attention. That bothers Trump. He lives for money and attention. Trump won’t throw Musk under the bus just yet. All Musk has to do is dangle some more cash in front of Trump’s face.
Musk has already given Trump 320 million to help him get elected. Those are the people that Trump is somewhat loyal to, and not the average MAGA supporter. In the end there is no one Trump won’t throw under the bus.
Musk going political, making odd arm gestures, has seriously harmed Tesla. MAGA doesn’t buy EVs and Musk has offended urban and liberal EV buyers.
Tesla’s troubles are an opportunity for GM. With Bolt, Equinox and Honda Prologue GM has proven it can build a quality EV that people actually want to own. Ultium, when mixed with Honda’s golden touch, has proved especially sucessful with Prologue selling over 30,000 units.
It’s a pity that GM and Honda are no longer EV partners. Still, GM gas a great opportunity
Harry, Trump did nothing about the illegal immigration at the border during his first presidency, other than whine about it and blame other people. One of his presidential campaign promises was that he would build a wall and Mexico will pay for it. We know how that worked out. The most absurd thing was Trump supporters believed him. He also promised to bring back good manufacturing jobs to the United States, that didn’t happen either. Pretty much all of his campaign promises from his first term as president never came to fruition.
Trump is a pathological liar. He tells people what they would like to hear. Most are pie in the sky ideas that he never intends to implement he just wants to get his followers all excited. He is a true PT Barnum.
