Corvette Racing Driver Selling T-Shirts To Commemorate Flipping Off BMW

During the 2025 Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona, Corvette Racing driver Tommy Milner made headlines when he flipped the bird at a couple BMW competitors that weren’t exactly racing fairly. Milner is turning his viral moment into merch, dropping a t-shirt featuring an illustration of his frustrated gesture, because, hey, there’s no such thing as bad press.

Milner announced the t-shirt on his social media, stating that all proceeds will go to the American Eagles Foundation [AEF], a nonprofit that supports the bald eagle and other birds of prey through education, conservation, and rehabilitation. The shirts are offered up on Milner’s website starting at $20, showing a minimalist illustration from motorsports artist Abel Toth that captures the driver’s iconic gesture out the window of his Corvette Racing machine – dangling taillight and all.

“A Daytona 24 win shirt would’ve been a bit more fun but instead we’re going to raise some money for [AEF],” he wrote. “In collaboration with [artist Abel Toth] all profit from the sale of these shirts will go to American Eagle Foundation.”

As a reminder, Milner’s No. 4 Corvette Racing Z06 GT3.R was on the receiving end of a joint effort between two BMW racers. As Milner was leading the No. 1 BMW of Kelvin van der Linde in the hotly contested GTD Pro class, he found himself mired in lapped traffic. One of those lapped cars was the No. 48 BMW of Augusto Farfus, who was over 50 laps off the pace, but continuously blocked Milner’s No. 4 Vette as the race wore on.

Farfus was black flagged for interfering with the leaders, but returned to the racetrack and got right back to blocking Milner. Eventually, Farfus and Tommy Milner got stacked up heading into a corner, forcing Milner to swing wide and slam into van der Linde’s BMW. The impact damaged the No. 4 Vette and took it out of contention for the lead.

Milner’s teammate, Nico Varrone, was able to get back at BMW later. Varrone, driving the damaged No. 4 Vette, took out the No. 1 BMW before it could complete a pass on the No. 3 Corvette Racing team for P3, relegating them to a fourth-place result.

  2. I was at that race when all this unfolded. Most teams ran a clean race except for those &$#*! BMW drivers. When the #4 took out the BMW before the BMW could take out the #3 Corvette, the crowd cheered! The jumbotron was showing how the BMW was continuously turning into the Corvette on the back straight when they were side by side. I totally applaud what the #4 did to the BMW; got a taste of his own medicine and it cost the BMW’s the podium. Awesome!!!!

  3. Bought one. Proceeds go to a good cause. Worth it.

  4. BMW driven in a race just like most of them are driven on the Streets. You know it’s true. Weak IMSA Race Control not removing the Farfus-driven BMW after one black flag and the creep continued his intentional blocking is an example of how pitiful IMSA has become.

  5. I was at Daytona – the Corvette Corral tent went wild when BMW spun out. Bought one from BlipShift. I’ll proudly wear it in front of the BMW pits at Sebring. …scum bags, go to NASCAR for that BS.

  6. I was at the race and originally was in favor of seeing the BMWs win, but after what went down, was happy to see them get taken off the podium by the other Vette. I’ll be getting some shirts!
