It’s cold out there, with record-breaking weather events occurring all around the country. Naturally, these events can make driving incredibly dangerous, with slippery roads leading to a loss of control and next-to-impossible conditions for the unprepared. Luckily for this Chevy Silverado HD driver, even a sheet of ice didn’t stop them from gently bring their heavy-duty pickup home.
As captured by the following viral video, we see a white Chevy Silverado HD cautiously making its way through a neighborhood, with the sidewalks and yards showing pockets of stubborn snow. More importantly, the roads are gleaming with a dangerous layer of ice – not exactly ideal for anyone driving without the right tires underneath them.
Nevertheless, the driver in the Chevy Silverado HD is determined. Moving slowly, the driver attempts to keep the truck under control, but as the driver turns the wheel, the front tires angle in one direction while the heavy-duty pickup slides forward in understeer, gaining little to no traction. Initially, it appears as though the Silverado HD is headed for a neighbor’s front yard as it approaches a four-way intersection.
In response, the driver makes a bold move, goosing the throttle to spin the rear end around. With deft counter-steering, the driver aligns the truck perfectly with the road ahead, managing an impressive 90-degree turn on the slick surface.
The next challenge involves steering the Silverado HD up into a driveway. As the truck makes its approach, the driver angles the front wheels and gently applies the throttle to climb the icy incline. Despite the tires slipping and sliding, the maneuver works flawlessly. With precision and patience, the truck ascends the driveway, straightens out, and comes to a stop, parking neatly in its final spot.
Fortunately, there were no other vehicles or obstacles on the road to complicate the situation further. However, we have to give it up to the driver for the impressive handling in such challenging conditions.

Only thing that works is 4 studded snow tires. They’re great. Even on 2wd.
I bet he races a oval dirt track car with skills like that.
I was thinking snowmobiles, same skill set
I thought I had some kind of driving experience after 25 years on the road, with company cars( over 200 of them) and probably over 1 million kilometers plus personnel milage for the other 34 years , plus driving lessons with well know race cars drivers, but this guy with the white Chevrolet Silverado made me realise that I still have some driving lessons to take. I would hire him tomorrow to give me driving lessons on ice
Jonathan, in the future, please post YouTube versions of these videos. Some of us are not on Facebook. Based on the description, however, I was able to find the YouTube version of it. Very cool driving indeed. Of course, it wasn’t an EV. It was an ICE vehicle. Ba-da-boom. Puns intended. Your smileage may vary.
Don’t need Facebook to play the video.
Looks like a good day to stay home and play games with mama.
Wow, published twice on GM authority, this is the first time I see 2 comments and video on the same subject. When is he coming to Quebec City, Canada, ???? I would buy him a cup of coffee, for sure.
Impressive!
