The GM Authority Take

Chevrolet Brazil sales registered an ever so slight increase during December 2024, closing the final month of the calendar year in the green and delivering stable sales volume in the largest country in South America. Last month’s strong record represents the second consecutive month that Chevrolet has been in the green in the Brazilian market following the remarkable double-digit rise achieved in November, which broke a four-month-long streak in the red.

Chevrolet Brazil’s very slight increase in December totaled 103 additional units on a year-over-year basis, and was primarily led by the Chevy Tracker. In fact, December was the subcompact crossover’s highest monthly volume in the local market. The roughly 1,600 additional units aded to the bottom line was nearly enough to neutralise the near-2,000 unit drop in the top-selling Chevy Onix.

Helping the Tracker was a significant increase posted by the Chevy Spin, with the subcompact MPV adding over 800 units to the result, consolidating it as the most popular three-row family vehicle in Brazil. Meanwhile, the Chevy TrailBlazer SUV was the Bowtie brand’s fastest-growing nameplate in December, effectively replacing the volume lost by the Chevy Silverado.
