The GM Authority Take

After suffering 13 consecutive months in the red, Chevrolet Argentina sales finally recovered by registering a notable double-digit increase in December. The growth netted Chevy 577 additional sales on a year-over-year basis.

The vast majority of models marketed by Chevrolet Argentina were in the green in December, almost all of them posting significant increases in the triple digit. Much like in prior months, the brand’s overall result was led by the best-selling Chevy Tracker, which continued to consolidate its position in the South American country with the largest year-over-year increase in volume. Even so, the crossover saw a drop in December when compared to November and finished the year in the red.

In addition, the Chevy Onix continues to recover over prior months, now ranking second among Chevrolet’s best-sellers in the Argentine market. Meanwhile, the Chevy Montana was the brand’s fastest-growing nameplate both during the month and for the entire 2024 calendar year, thanks to an expanded lineup and more competitive positioning. The only model in the red was the discontinued Chevy Cruze, which marks one year of being discontinued in the country.
