Cadillac Ranks Below Average In J.D. Power Winter 2025 U.S. Manufacturer Website Evaluation Study

New vehicle buyer opinions about the Cadillac website plunged to a below-average rating in the J.D. Power Winter 2025 U.S. Manufacturer Website Evaluation Study, a considerable fall from its previously positive ranking a few months ago.

Cadillac earned a rating of 704 points out of a possible 1,000, putting it slightly below the 708 points average in the Luxury vehicle segment of the J.D. Power study.

Results of the study appear to be highly changeable, with brands that previously ranked near the top a few months ago falling to the bottom of the list, or formerly low-ranked brands placing first or close to it. However, there has been something of a rough downtrend in Cadillac’s rating over the past years.

Back in Summer 2024, the semi-annual study placed Cadillac as average in the Luxury segment. At that time, the brand scored 741 points versus a 739-point U.S. luxury sector average. A year ago, the Winter 2024 study showed Cadillac in third place behind Mercedes-Benz and Tesla. It achieved a 737 rating at the time against the overall average score of 722.

According to digital solutions analyst Kristen Coffin “the auto industry is falling short on modernization and organization of their websites.” She says that visually pleasing websites with handy, streamlined organization produce higher ratings. Even more than function, however, “visual appeal is one of the most important aspects for website visitors,” per her analysis.

J.D. Power fielded the study among new vehicle buyers during two months in 2024, October and November. A total of 11,406 respondents contributed their opinions to the final ratings. Only 52 percent of luxury vehicle buyers rated their chosen brand’s website above those of other brands, versus 50 percent for mass-market vehicles.

The study looked at website visual appeal, site navigation, speed, and two kinds of customer research to develop an overall score for each brand site. It notes that the findings point to “the need for manufacturers to update their sites to be more refreshed and intuitive for shoppers.”

    • I agree with your statement 100%! Cadillac has come a long way and I think their vehicles are a head of the rest! If you do the required maintenance you will have a trouble free luxury ride with many years with no major issues. I find their ads tasteful professionally done. They make mistakes like any car manufacturer but I for one enjoy driving a Cadillac.
