  1. I put too many miles on a vehicle in a year to ever consider a lease. But if i didn’t, an electric vehicle under a lease would be the only way I would deal with one. Knowing that I was giving it back

    1. You can trade it in before the lease is up, then since the dealer is buying it from the leasing company, the miles don’t matter (it’s just part of the valuation, like KBB). Unfortunately, unless the residual is really low, the massive depreciation of EV’s (until people really start scooping up the used EV’s) may make the trade-in value a good deal lower than the lease buyout (which of course would roll into the cost of the new car), but the miles won’t matter. 🙂

  2. GM has the technology on the shelf. Fill the space with an SUV that is between the ICE and BEV now with a AWD PHEV.

  3. I still believe GM is missing what the consumers want. Optiq for the XT5 and Vistiq for the XT6 is not going to be a hit. Everyone still reluctant to go for an EV and these models are significantly more expensive than the ICE models they are replacing. It seems they are too far down the marketing trail to offer a hybrid in a reasonable time.

  4. What’s with the majority of GM lease deal being only in the Miami market ???

    Reply
  5. Miami because the battery loses so much battery range in the colder states. It is a nice looking vehicle. Maybe in another 10 yrs I’ll buy one.

  6. What platform is the Optiq built on…the Equinox or Blazer?

  7. The Blazer. I leased a Blazer last month in Colorado, and I am really enjoying it.
