Cadillac CT4 Driver Misses Exit, Takes Out Two Pickup Trucks: Video

Even with GPS and turn-by-turn directions, it can be easy to accidentally take the wrong exit, especially on a busy highway. It happens to the best of us, and the most obvious solution is to turn around when you can, or take a slightly different route to your destination. The wrong decision would be to force your way back into an adjacent lane, as the driver in the Cadillac CT4 featured in this video had to learn the hard way.

In a recent viral video posted to social media, we see a busy multi-lane highway. The video was captured by a dash camera mounted on another vehicle, with the video overlay indicating that the incident occurred on Friday, January 3rd, around 11:34 a.m. local time near Houston, Texas. Traffic is moving along steadily around 70 mph.

As the video gets underway, we see several vehicles across the various lanes, some of which start to slow down as traffic begins to build up. The highway splits, with a few of the lanes veering off to the right.

A Cadillac CT4 tries to merge back onto a busy highway.

Around the 28-second mark, we see a black Cadillac CT4 positioned between the lanes. It looks as though the driver in the CT4 began to exit, but then changed their mind, or perhaps they didn’t notice that the lanes were splitting. Either way, the decision to try and merge with the fast-moving traffic doesn’t bode well.

The Cadillac CT4 driver signals to merge left, causing traffic ahead to brake. Suddenly, we see the CT4 swerve, but it’s too late – the driver was likely focused on their mirrors and didn’t notice the divider. The four-door caddy collides heavily with the steel divider, causing it to whip around into the adjacent lane directly in front of the fast moving traffic.

What results is a series of collisions between the various vehicles, spreading debris across the highway and sending one vehicle onto its side.

  3. One moron & 3 vehicles major damage! How hard is it to just keep going & take the next ramp?? Even if 5 miles or so, much better than causing a crash & maybe getting people hurt.
