Cadillac has just revealed full specs for the brand-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V while announcing that the fully electric V-Series crossover will be sold worldwide.
General Motors’ luxury brand announced that the brand-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will expand its family of high-performance vehicles as the first all-electric vehicle in the V-Series lineup, and confirmed that the model will be sold worldwide. In addition to the United States, the new 2026 Lyriq-V has already been officially announced in Canada, Australia and New Zealand, with more global markets to be announced at a later date.
“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said Cadillac Global Vice President, John Roth. “Lyriq-V takes this commitment a step further in the EV era, pushing our performance pedigree of V-Series to new heights with a powerful, personalized and high-tech driving experience that fits perfectly into our customers’ lives,” he added.
During the global debut of the all-electric V-Series crossover in October, the brand had confirmed that the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V would be offered in a few “select markets” around the world, but now says that it will sell the Lyriq-V “globally.” This notable shift in communication strategy suggests that Cadillac will expand the market range of the new 2026 Lyriq-V and plans to sell it in all the countries around the world where it has a presence.
Notably, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will not only go down in history as the pioneer of the V-Series EV era and the fastest Cadillac ever, but it has the potential to become the brand’s first global-reach high-performance vehicle. Until now, models of Cadillac’s high-performance sub-brand have had very limited international reach, being offered partially in North America, the Middle East and a few other countries around the world.
In fact, the adoption of fully electric powertrains will allow the upcoming Cadillac V-Series to overcome the technical limitations and market barriers that high-performance internal combustion models have faced around the world, such as emissions control, engine displacement taxes, and high fuel consumption. Now, the brand-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V can be perfectly marketed in China, Europe, and any other global market.

That will be one fast station wagon!
I’m wondering if it is fast? I found a lot of references to it being 0-60 quick, but oddly no reference to its top speed. If anyone knows, please enlighten us.
Current RWD is 118 and AWD 130 MPH.
Top Speed will be dependent on the motors and the type of tires they give the V.
Thanks for the info. I figured it had to be bad since they didn’t announce it. So, it is slower than my kid’s stock Hyundai Elantra. Good to know.
That’s the stock Lyriq, not the V. The V is quite a bit more powerful and built track ready.
Such a sad waste of resources. Made for the delusional people that think they are saving the planet. Joke is on them.
There are reasons other than “saving the planet” that many people choose to drive EVs. Have you even ever driven one?
When they put themselves in electric ev airplanes they can talk to me about ev cars
I’m sure the world just can’t wait. But bet it can. Another recent GM absurdity.
Sweet! Exports mean security for American jobs.
American products, especially cars are taxed to hell by other countries.
Another turd that no one needs.
2nd Best Selling Cadillac and fastest growth out of all of em.
My dealer just started getting Optiqs. What’s surprising is they are sized closer to XT5 than XT4. Should do well.
Australia and New Zealand get a slew of Chinese BEVs, PHEVs, and HEVs… which have far superior battery technology, greater range, more tech features, more upscale interior design, and reasonable prices. Competition is always a good thing. Good luck Cadillac.
