Anyone with a fourth-generation Chevy Silverado 1500 or GMC Sierra 1500 that wants a deeper, more aggressive exhaust note has a new option from the aftermarket thanks to AWE’s latest 0FG Catback Exhaust System. The new AWE exhaust system promises improved sound, while also retaining the factory tip bezels, ensuring an OEM-styled aesthetic.
The new AWE exhaust fits 2019-and-later Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra models equipped with either the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 or 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. As a reminder, the 5.3L V8 L84 is rated at 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, while the 6.2L V8 L87 is rated at 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque.
“We learned that Silverado and Sierra owners take a lot of pride in their OE tip bezels while wanting the drone-free rumble AWE is known for, so let’s do this,” says AWE CMO, Jesse Kramer.
The AWE 0FG Exhaust System is available in two separate configurations, including a dual three-inch catback setup and a single three-inch catback setup. Systems designed for the 6.2L V8 L87 engine include a specially designed H-pipe to further enhance the “muscle” style exhaust tone.
The system is designed as a bolt-on install and doesn’t require any cutting, providing DIY’ers with a straightforward and relatively easy upgrade. Additionally, a plug-and-play valve simulator is included to prevent check engine lights (CEL) on 6.2L models produced for the 2024 model year and later. The system also features adapters for models with a 156.95-inch wheelbase.
The exhaust pipes are constructed from high-quality T304L stainless steel, while AWE provides Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra owners with multiple exhaust tip options based on their truck’s bumper design. For flat bumpers, owners can choose five-inch straight-cut tips available in either chrome silver or diamond black. For bumpers featuring cutouts, the system offers quad four-inch slash-cut tips, also available in chrome silver or diamond black. The quad-tip setups are equipped with ball and socket joints for precise alignment with the factory bumper cutouts. What’s more, the 0FG Exhaust System retains the option for the factory “HDMI” tip bezels, preserving the OEM look while delivering an enhanced exhaust note.
AWE backs the 0FG Exhaust System with its Perfect Fitment Guarantee, a No CEL Guarantee, and a Lifetime Warranty. Pricing starts at $1,245, per the AWE website.

I wait until the exhaust system falls off my cars before I do anything about it. As do most people. Then the last time, my local muffler shop slapped on a system for the fraction of what this company wants.
some people like the sound a V8 makes, guess your not that kind.
I’m in the exhaust business. I wish I could charge twelve fifty and up For single stainless cat back system. I’ve often wondered who
Buys these systems. Someone must, if they’re in business.
If yours would sound as good as AWE does and meet their top quality of stainless steel and have zero drone, maybe people would spend the $$$$.
