All The 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 Grille Designs Compared

The fourth-generation Chevy Silverado 1500 was refreshed for the 2022.5 (2022 interim) model year, with the latest 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 once again offering a broad range of trims and configurations. As expected, each trim in the 2025 Silverado 1500 lineup includes a selection of aesthetic features that help to identify it within the trim cadence. That includes a number of unique grille treatments, and now, we’re taking a closer look at all of the 2025 Chevy Silverado 1500 grille design with the following GM Authority comparison.

Let’s start with the bottom three trim levels, namely the Silverado Work Truck (or WT), Custom, and Custom Trail Boss, each of which includes a grille with black cross bars, large “CHEVROLET” script, and a black grille mesh. Each of these trims also include several other aesthetic features that help them standout, such as a body-color lower bumper  on the Custom, and an upgraded hood design on the Custom Trail Boss.

Moving up the trim level cadence, we have the LT, which incorporates chrome cross bars and black grille insert bars, as well as the sporty RS, which includes body-color cross bars with high gloss black insert bars.

The RST Redline Edition and LT Trail Boss have an identical grille design with high gloss black cross bars and high gloss black grill insert bars, while the ZR2 replaces the insert bars with a high gloss black mesh. To note, the Redline Edition (RPO code WGQ) costs $3,880.

At the top of the range, we have the ZR2 Bison, which presents body-color cross bars with a high gloss black grille mesh, while the LTZ and High Country both present chrome cross bars with chrome grille insert bars.

Broadly speaking, there are four basic designs at play here, with eight overall finishes:

  • Design 1 (with the CHEVROLET script): WT, Custon and Custom Trail Boss
  • Design 2: LT, RST, RST Redline Edition, LT Trail Boss and LTZ
  • Design 3: ZR2 and ZR2 Bison
  • Design 4: High Country

  2. Thanks for the article on the Silverado 1500 grille designs. Do you know if the grilles can be swapped between the different trim models? For example, take a RST grille and put it on a LTZ model?

    1. You could order the grill you want from the parts department and change them out. Chevy doesn’t over the grills as a stand alone option.

  5. I really miss the earlier Custom grille, with body-color center bar and CHEVROLET block lettering. The current Custom grille matches the WT, and it does nothing to flatter it.
