Two months after announcing the updated version of Buick’s full-size sedan, General Motors has just launched an all-new two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse in China.
The automaker officially launched the all-new two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse as the range-topping variant of Buick’s flagship vehicle in China, the country where the fourth-generation LaCrosse is exclusively manufactured and marketed. The SAIC-GM joint venture kicked off the new calendar year with an early launch that adds an exclusive and personal touch to the 2025 LaCrosse, which will initially be offered with this special limited-time configuration.
The all-new two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse is based on the Platinum trim level and adopts a dual-color paint treatment inspired by that of the new Buick GL8 Century Flagship, the most luxurious and exclusive model in the brand’s local product line in the Asian country. The body of the two-tone 2025 LaCrosse stands out for being divided horizontally along the beltline and offers various color combinations.
Aesthetically, the all-new two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse maintains exactly the same design as the regular model, but its paint treatment offers a distinctive look that sets it apart from the rest of the sedan’s lineup, and from competing executive sedans. In fact, SAIC-GM claims that the two-tone treatment was specifically designed to further highlight the characteristic features of Buick’s Pure Design language and give it a distinguished presence.
The 2025 Buick LaCrosse’s new two-tone finish will be offered in four distinctively named color combinations and packages, including a Vibrant Green base with a Silver top and a Black base with a Silver top for the top-of-the-line Platinum Avenir. Silver with a Black top and Purple with a Champagne Gold top are also offered as standard trim.
The all-new two-tone 2025 Buick LaCrosse is now available for sale at Buick’s official dealer network in China, as a special customized version that will initially be offered for a limited time. The manufacturer’s idea is to offer a more distinctive and personal touch to the 2025 LaCrosse with vibrant colors to stand out in a market saturated with similar upscale sedans.

it is nice, north american cars, north american can not more do
Huh? What is it you are trying to say?
I would like more American cars do. This is nice.
WOW, how gorgeous, great to see, you know the best place to buy an American car is China. They have the Lacrosse, Regal, Verano, Monza, Cruze, Malibu, CT6 Cadillac, Taurus/ Mondeo, MKZ. all those great cars they have, while we have to settle for every car the same square shoe box styled Sports Utility Vans, SUVs.
Yep!! It’s an unfortunate monster they created here so.. they pretty did this to themselves! I would like to see more cars as well, but it won’t happen..this is where we’re at now..
Tesla… 2025 Make America Gulf Again !
Buick, what are you doing? Let this be available for purchase in America!
It’s really sad that today’s American consumers are indifferent to sedans…
It’s not that Americans are indifferent, but when you charge 40-50K for a sedan, Americans expect more.
The trouble is no one buy them when offered.
I could have bought an AWD Lacrosse for $30k because of all the discounts. These were steals. But yet they rotted on dealer lots with discounted Regals.
Funny how so many cry for these cars to be sold here but never bought one when they were.
I owned a sedan till last year. I did my part.
The sedan isn’t dead here. Toyota and Honda sell hundreds of thousands of Camrys/Accords/Corollas/Civics every year. Camry sold 220,000+ units here in the US in 2024 (making it 7 in the top 10 vehicles for 2024). That outsold every – every – GM model except the Silverado/Sierra. The problem is that the General neglects this market pouring billions into EVs.
And now with the imminent demise of the Malibu, GM (with Ford and Stellantis) is handing that whole market completely over to the Japanese and Koreans. As people have said over and over here, not everyone wants a SUV/CUV or truck. Let’s pray that the Bu isn’t completely dead and a new model is in the wings even if it’s an EV.
Corrections on my Camry sales figure – 309,000 up 6% over 2023.
Sorry it is generally dead for sedans that sell in limited markets.
The Toyota and Honda sell globally not the Chevy. They make money on high volume. GM does not enjoy that.
Most sedan buyers will not even walk in a Chevy showroom.
If there was money to make they would be making it. But there is no easy money here.
If this was a good move would GM still be sitting on 7000 cars with high discount on them?
Did you recently buy a GM sedan from Chevy or Buick in the last 10 years?
I
I just bought a Buck Lacrosse from the Buick dealership two weeks ago. I love it, I had one before this one and it lasted me up to well over 200,000 miles. These 1.4 and 2.0 liters with a turbo are complete garbage and all have issues.
So it takes China to show that the “Two-Tone” cut line looks better when it is done at the more natural style line as opposed to the “Just change the color of the top and A pillar/C pillar” two tone jobs being pushed the last 5 years or so.
I didnt know Chip Foose worked for Buick! lol!
I think the two-tone treatment really sets it apart from the 2013 Avalon!
Ha! Yeah, the two-tone is cool, but just like the new Enclave, the car itself is generic and boring.
I’d be tempted to trade my XTS or Impala.
What a beautiful car! Why can’t we get that kind of Buick in America instead of the hospice-express SUVs?
I own two sedans, a 2017 Chevy Impala and a 1977 Buick Electra built in Flint, Michigan by real Americans. Now, expensive Cadillacs are the only GM sedans, and Ford and Chrysler don’t have any. This is an opportunity for any domestic automaker to get back into this segment of the automotive business. Otherwise, a Honda Accord is starting to look really good!
bring back Cadillac CT6 and the great Impala, they never sold to many
because they never advertised them!
Not a fan of this treatment at all…really never was, but it looks way wrong for a modern vehicle. This just looks like a terrible SEMA project from the 90’s.
Looks like a rebadged Camry. Ugly. Reminds me of a dust buster which is what most Toyota’s look like
There is a 4 Door Mustang on the horizon. Ford seems to be back pedaling on being a Truck only company. Watch there is more on the horizon, you may see the Mustang as a 26 model for sure 27.
Should added rumor has is the Mustang will have the 400 HP 3.0L Hybridized! 500+/- total HP? AWESOME!
Lincoln deserves the 4-door LS with V-8. Having a mustang sedan is the same as them Mach-e things.
Looks like a slightly bigger Malibu (current gen)
To the Author how about specs of the car. Like engine, transmission, length. Not that we could ever get here.
Much nicer looking vehicle than the stubby SUV’s Buick offers in North America.
After four decades of driving nothing but American, I now drive Japanese. I love sedans and the fact that I can’t get a Buick sedan has made an import lover out of Me. I don’t think Buick has a US future on SUV’s and crossovers alone!
I’ve owned a 78 Regal , 93 Lesabre , and 2012 Lacrosse …. The first two were great , the last one was a piece of junk . 3K in repairs the first three years . The transmission was ready to fail , along with the StableTrak issue . GM is well aware of these issues with transmission and StableTrak . They choose to do nothing about it and burn the consumer . I couldn’t afford the enormous price to replace the transmission and get the StableTrak repaired . I went to Buick and looked at trading it in for a better car . They already knew about the problem before I even told them . Hmmmm
Buick will be China-only by 2030 given their boring US lineup of 4 Milk Trucks. Mary Buick Envision Made in China-Barra’s choice not to advertise sedans in the US market is why they are not offered.
The overall design is beautiful, I personally don’t care too much for the two-toned color approach but it may work for those with a unique vision for exterior paint colors.
If they’d maybe overengineer their cars like the Lexus and make them reliable to the point of cutting their own throats, maybe they’d capture the us market. Hyundai/kia bumped up their game and are getting traction ( just need to figure out how to control their oil consumption issues) But we get pushed to market vehicles now with software/hardware patches to follow like video games.
