The automaker’s Mexican subsidiary announced the all-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V for Mexico, one of multiple international markets around the world where the company plans to market the brand-new Lyriq performance variant. As such, the 2026 Lyriq-V is officially targeted as one of Cadillac’s upcoming launches in the Latin country – which represents the only one in the entire region where the brand has a direct and formal presence.

“The all-new high-performance, all-electric Cadillac Lyriq-V will be available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand and other markets, including Mexico,” said GM Mexico’s communications department in a statement. “More details on the sales start date, trim levels and pricing for the Mexican market will be announced later,” the company added.

Notably, Mexico becomes the fourth international market in which the all-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is confirmed to be introduced outside of the United States – following Canada, Australia and New Zealand. The official announcement also confirms that the all-new V-Series variant of the crossover will be available in each of the three North American countries and that Cadillac has expanded its reach from just “select markets” to “globally.”

Billed as the fastest Cadillac ever, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V stands out as the first all-electric vehicle to bear the American luxury brand’s exclusive high-performance V-Series badge. In addition to its bolder, more aggressive aesthetic, the 2026 Lyriq-V is much more powerful than regular versions of the model by adopting a dual-motor, AWD powertrain that produces 615 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque.

The all-new 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V will go into series production in the first half of this year at GM’s Spring Hill plant in Tennessee, where the model’s other variants are also built and represents the only facility confirmed to date that will produce the high-performance variant of the model. Although no details have been revealed regarding the official timeline, the arrival of the 2026 Lyriq-V in Mexico is estimated for the end of this year.

  2. My first thought was that they’ll be targeting drug lords, but, no, they’ll still want Slades. Not sure who in MX they expect to buy this and I’m sure the charging infrastructure is worse than in the US. Oh, Mary, such a jokester…

    1. EVs are actually booming in Mexico, BYD sells thousands of thousands of vehicles there, one of the top selling cars is an EV SUV.

Teslas are also quite popular, Mexico has an actually more diverse and growing Ev market than the US.

    2. Also brands have never targeted drug lords in Mexico, they are a very small percentage of any market, the vehicles use by that minority are almost always easily stolen from the US border states with the help of American organized crime.

Many have even been found destroyed after just a couple of hours, still wearing Texas state plates.
