The GMC Terrain entered an all-new generation for the 2025 model year. However, it’s an unusual model year with the base Elevation trim being the only one available for now. We expect more trims, namely Terrain AT4 and Denali, to arrive for the 2026 model, and now we can confirm a new paint option on the way for the 2026 GMC Terrain.
The new paint option is Glacier White Tricoat (G4J), which will replace White Frost Tricoat (G1W) as the Terrain’s premium white paint option. White Frost Tricoat was optional during the 2020-2024 model years for the SLT and Denali trims. Interestingly, the new Glacier White Tricoat hue will be exclusive to the Denali trim. It has the same paint color code as a new paint option for the 2026 Chevy Equinox, Polar White.
In other paint news for the new third-generation Terrain, Downpour Metallic (GXP) will return to the 2026 GMC Terrain. It technically went on a one-year hiatus since it’s another Denali-exclusive paint option, and there is no 2025 GMC Terrain Denali. It was first introduced to the Terrain’s color palette in 2024.
Glacier White Tricoat will cost extra on the 2026 GMC Terrain; pricing is forthcoming. The no-cost Summit White (GAZ) paint option will also continue to be available.
Pricing for the 2025 GMC Terrain starts at $31,395 for models equipped with front-wheel drive, while models equipped with all-wheel drive start at $33,395. Both prices listed include a destination freight charge, which is set at $1,395.
In terms of features, the 2025 GMC Terrain Elevation is equipped as standard with the Driver Convenience Package, which includes things like Remote Start, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel. The infotainment spec includes a 15-inch diagonal touchscreen with available Google built-in, voice recognition, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a six-speaker audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and wireless Android Auto.
The third-gen Terrain also features new exterior styling, which presents a more rugged, truck-like appearance. This update mirrors styling updates seen elsewhere in the GMC lineup.
Under the hood, the 2025 GMC Terrain is motivated by the turbocharged 1.5L I4 LSD gasoline engine, which is rated at 175 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque when equipped with front-wheel drive and 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque when equipped with all-wheel drive. Under the skin, you’ll find the GM D2 platform while production occurs at the GM San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico.

A Harley Davidson Dealer once said I was the only person who had asked him for an all white H/D except for a law enforcement agency. I have always been partial to white and the new White for the Terrain is beautiful!
So is White the New Gray … available in 75 different shades ?
What a boring color white is. Cmon GM, put yourself above the others and come up with some new colors. Omg this is getting old!
It’s be really nice to think that the Denali trim delay meant better engine option but nice and GM just don’t mix.
when will the new 2026 denali come out so we the buyer can order it
I read somewhere that the new 2026 Denali will introduce a new 2.0 engine. It needs one!
