Shelby American just unveiled the latest high-powered variant of the S650 Ford Mustang with the debut of the new 2025 Shelby GT350. Maximum output is set at 810 horsepower, while a laundry list of extras complement the extra oomph. At present, GM offers no direct rival, with The General recently discontinuing the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro following the conclusion of the 2024 model year.
Highlights include a 3.0L Whipple supercharger mounted on top of the Gen 4 Coyote 5.0L V8, as well as a Borla exhaust system. Shelby will also offer a 480-horsepower variant, plus the new GT30R, the latter of which is rated at 830 horsepower and includes a carbon fiber interior tub, carbon fiber racing seats, integrated roll cade, Trans Am-spec carbon fiber aero, fully adjustable JRI race suspension, Alcon racing brakes, and other race-spec bits and pieces.
“Teaming up with industry leaders, Shelby American has crafted the most powerful Shelby GT350 ever,” Shelby states. “Shelby American increased horsepower by 70 percent, reduced weight, and tuned the suspension to ensure the car is as comfortable on daily drives as it is on track days.”
The 2025 Shelby GT350 will be available with both a manual and automatic transmission, while the GT350R will be manual-only.
Handling upgrades for the GT350 include front and rear lowering springs, front and rear sway bars, and new forged alloy wheels sized at 20 inches by 9.5 inches in front and 20 inches by 11 inches in the rear, with “Shelby spec performance tires” for traction.
As for exterior, the new go-faster Mustang makes its presence known via an aluminum deep draw hood, center hood vent, a new grille treatment, a three-piece lower front spoiler, a rear ducktail spoiler, and the requisite Shelby badging.
There’s a few upgrades in the cabin as well, such as all-leather seats, embroidered floor mats, special door sill plates, and serialized dash and engine plaques, plus a Shelby shift knob for the manual transmission. Optional upgrades include a rear pedestal wing, a carbon fiber package, and a Performance Pack, all of which have late and limited availability.
Pricing starts at $109,995 for the supercharged GT350 variant, including the car. Production will kick off in the second quarter of the 2025 calendar year.

No biggie. It’s just another Ford BoyRacer niche model “Of The Week”. Ford says it’s going to intro budget-friendly models, but I’m afraid I’ll laugh if in fact they do it.
Looks like a Fusion with a wing.
Only nostalgia Mustang bros would buy this over the upcoming C8 ZR1.
I doubt it remotely competes with the C8 Z06. Maybe has more power, but in a drag race?
So I assume the GT500 will have around 900+ hp? By that time the Zora would have arrived.
Mid-life crisis car.
Chevy has an answer to that……Vette.
