The refreshed 2025 GMC Yukon got its big debut last August, bringing with it a variety of updates and changes. One of the most important of these was a revamped trim level hierarchy, including the introduction of the new entry-level Elevation. Now, we’re taking a closer look at the new 2025 GMC Yukon Elevation thanks to the following GM Authority Live Photo Gallery.
This particular 2025 GMC Yukon Elevation is located at the Dave Abrogast dealership in Troy, Ohio, and presents a striking Volcanic Red Tintcoat (paint code GNT) exterior paired with a Jet Black interior (RPO code H1Y) colorway.
Starting up front, the base-level Elevation trim a bold front grille design with large horizontal grille slats and a polished finish, bordered by a polished surround. The grille pairs with C-shaped LED lighting signatures, giving the front fascia a clean and commanding aesthetic, while the Volcanic Red Tintcoat further accentuates these elements. Check out our previous coverage for further analysis of the new Yukon fascia designs.
Viewed from the side, the chiseled wheel arches and chrome-accented side moldings enhance the vehicle’s premium feel. The rear view is equally compelling, with C-shaped taillights that lead into horizontal lighting elements in the tailgate, complementing the muscular lines of the SUV.
Inside, the 2025 Yukon Elevation emphasizes comfort and functionality. The Jet Black interior is adorned with precision-stitched upholstery and light-colored accents. Standard spec includes a 16.8-inch diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System with Google built-in, heated driver and front passenger seats, a heated steering wheel, second-row outboard heated and power-release seats, and a 10-speaker Bose Surround audio system.
Under the hood, the 2025 GMC Yukon Elevation offers a choice of three powertrains, stating with the standard naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L84 gasoline engine engine, followed by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine and the new-for-2025 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax. All 2025 GMC Yukon variants are built on the GM T1 platform, while vehicle assembly takes place at the GM Arlington plant in Texas.

I just can’t get over the vertical infotainment screen in the new GMC’s. Really wish they would have kept the landscape orientation.
I am just happy to see the Elevation doesn’t have black wheels. Those they shown aren’t bad at all.
I wish you could get the diesel w/o the supercruise.
