2025 GMC Acadia Gets Trailering Package As Standard

Following up on the launch of the all-new third generation of Big Red’s full-size crossover in the 2024 model year, the 2025 GMC Acadia introduces a handful of changes and new features for the second model year.

Now, GM Authority has learned, the 2025 GMC Acadia will get changed availability for the Trailering Package (RPO code V92) as one of the updates for the 2025 model year.

Previously, on the 2024 Acadia, the Trailering Package was standard on the off-road focused AT4 trim and the range-topping Denali trim level. It was available for an additional $650 as an option on the entry-level Elevation trim. Starting in 2025, however, the package will be equipped as standard on all trim levels of the 2025 GMC Acadia.

In practical terms, this means all GMC Acadia trim levels will offer a 5,000-pound towing capacity. The contents of the package are as follows:

  • Heavy-duty cooling system (V08)
  • Hitch View (PZ8)
  • Hitch Guidance (CTT)
  • 220-amp alternator (KW5)
  • Factory-installed Class III hitch
  • 7-pin wiring harness

Another new option for the 2025 GMC Acadia is the Adventure Package (RPO code LCM). An LPO or dealer-installed option, this package offers assist steps and roof rack cross rails, plus some aesthetic upgrades. Standard lumbar adjustment for the front passenger seat on the Elevation and AT4 trims is being removed. Finally, a second-row bench seat is increasing seating capacity to 8 people for the Elevation.

Turning to pricing, the 2025 crossover’s base Elevation trim carries a starting MSRP of $44,295 for FWD and $46,295 for AWD. At the top end, the Denali costs $55,295 with front-wheel drive and $57,295 with an all-wheel drivetrain. A destination freight charge of $1,395 is included in these numbers. The official configurator is currently live.

A single powerplant supplies motivation to the 2025 GMC Acadia, specifically the turbocharged 2.5L I4 LK0 gasoline engine rated at 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. The GM C1 platform underpins the crossover, with production taking place at the GM Lansing Delta Township facility.
