The 2025 Corvette ZR1 made its formal introduction in July, offering up nothing less than the fastest, most powerful production Corvette ever made. In conjunction with that high status, the new C8 ZR1 also boasts some highly aggressive styling cues, including a massive aero treatment to help it stick at speed. Not only that, but the 2025 Corvette ZR1 will also offer unique brake caliper colors.
The new C8 ZR1’s unique brake caliper color options include Bronze (RPO code J6O) and Blue (RPO code J6B), both of which are not available on any other C8 model.
Across the 2025 Corvette lineup, each variant offers its own lineup of caliper color options. For the Stingray, Black calipers (RPO code J6A) are standard, while Bright Red (J6F), Edge Red (J6N), and Velocity Yellow (J6E) are available as options. The E-Ray matches the Stingray in its caliper colors lineup, while moving up to the Z06 opens up Dark Gray Metallic (RPO code J6D) as an available upgrade, as well as Orange (RPO code J6L). Black calipers remain standard on the Z06, with no Bronze or Blue calipers offered.
The ZR1, meanwhile, stands out with a total of seven distinct caliper colors, including the exclusive Bronze and Blue options. The full list also includes Dark Gray Metallic (RPO code J6D), Bright Red (RPO code J6F), Edge Red (RPO code J6N), Orange (RPO code J6L), and Velocity Yellow (RPO code J6E). Unlike the Stingray, E-Ray, and Z06, the ZR1 does not offer standard Black calipers. It’s also worth noting that the 2025 Corvette ZR1 is equipped as standard with carbon ceramic brakes, a necessary item considering the sort of power on tap.

Beyond the aesthetics, the 2025 Corvette ZR1’s performance specs underscore its dominance in the C8 lineup. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 5.5L V8 LT7 engine, the ZR1 generates an astonishing 1,064 horsepower and 828 pound-feet of torque, with a top speed exceeding 230 mph.
All 2025 C8 Corvettes, including the ZR1, are underpinned by GM’s Y2 platform and are produced at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly Plant in Kentucky.
Comment
I have always admired the C8 generation Corvette. I personally would not purchase one because I felt that they were too large and their complicated geometry body design did not appeal to me. However I certainly was envious of the great bang for the buck. How sad that gm is now taking a page from Porsche and nickel and diming everyone for every little detail change. I note that for a 2025 Z06 optional painted calipers they are a $695 option. Porsche charges $910 for most 911 models for the black painted calipers. Greed at its finest.
