2025 Corvette Stingray To Offer New Alloy Wheel Finish

The 2025 Corvette introduces a number of important updates and changes compared to the preceding 2024 model year, not the least of which is the debut of the new C8 Corvette ZR1, which drops in as the fastest, most powerful production model to ever wear the Corvette nameplate. However, the rest of the C8 lineup also enjoys a few important changes, including the 2025 Corvette Stingray. Now, GM Authority has learned that the new 2025 Stingray will offer a new alloy wheel finish.

The 2025 Corvette will offer a similar wheel as the 5-spoke machined-face Sterling Silver-painted forged aluminum wheel, but with a different finish.

Pricing details and images of the new 2025 Corvette Stingray alloy wheel finish are currently unavailable. However, GM Authority has learned that the wheels will be sized at 19 inches up front and 20 inches in the rear, and present a 5-split-spoke forged design with a Gloss Black finish. The new wheels will be tagged with RPO code QE5 and will be a factory option on all Stingray configurations.

All told, the new wheels will most likely present a similar design as the 5-spoke machined-face Sterling Silver-painted forged aluminum wheel (RPO code Q9O) and 5-spoke Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheel with machined edge (RPO code Q9Y), but with a new Gloss Black finish. For reference, the 5-spoke machined-face Sterling Silver-painted forged aluminum wheels and 5-spoke Satin Graphite forged aluminum wheel with machined edge wheels are currently priced at $995.

The 2025 Corvette debuts sports car’s latest sixth model year, bringing several new styling options, as well as new pricing for the C8 E-Ray and C8 Z06, as GM Authority covered previously. Anyone interested can now spec the 2025 Corvette using the official online configurator tool at Chevrolet’s website, although the new 2025 C8 ZR1 is currently not available on the configurator.

Pricing for the C8 Stingray starts at $69,995 for the 1LT Coupe. The C8 Stingray is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 LT2 gasoline engine. Under the skin, all C8 Corvette variants ride on the GM Y2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Bowling Green plant in Kentucky.

  1. Gloss black, how original…

  2. That’s a nice wheel design, but I don’t like black wheels.

  3. The description in your photo captions are wrong. The Q90 wheel is satin graphite, not sterling silver. And ditto the black wheels are ugly sentiment.

  4. The only plus for black wheels is the fact that they help hide the brake dust that immediately turns a clean wheel dirty. I had black gloss wheels on a previous vehicle and they were a nice and easy to clean. But looked depressing. I prefer my 5 spoke silver satin alloy wheels on my current C8 Convertible. They match the sterling nose-to-tail stripes

    2016 chrome wheels are beautiful,
    Bring them back!

    1. Black wheels are great as long as they are not mine. What I really dislike are the small amounts of machining they do. Just don’t care for them. Polish , chrome , if it’s not broken don’t try and fix it. I opted for the black trident wheel option for out htc. So I have a set of silver wheels in a box upstairs. Corbin brakes are pricey but looks good and little brake dust
