2025 Chevy TrailBlazer PRF Venom Police Vehicle Unveiled In Brazil

Eight months after the official introduction of the updated Chevrolet midsize SUV in the country, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer Police vehicle dubbed ‘PRF Venom’ has just been unveiled in Brazil.

Brazil’s Federal Highway Police (PRF, for its acronym in Portuguese) officially unveiled the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer PRF Venom in the South American country as part of its strategic partnership with GM Brazil that supplies the Brazilian traffic police’s fleet of utility vehicles. The 2025 TrailBlazer PRF Venom receives the retail model’s new front end design and several aesthetic changes that redefine the look of the police force’s SUV fleet.

“With a robust design and armor that ensures greater safety for operations, the new vehicles from the specialized groups named Venom, have arrived to transform our operations,” said the PRF of Brazil. “As of 2025, the fleet will have a new look, with discreet and non-reflective colors. The new vehicles combine operational efficiency and visual identity to ensuring an increasingly strategic performance and prepared for the challenges of Brazilian highways,” the institution added.

In particular, the new 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer PRF Venom is based on the entry level version of the Brazilian-made midsize SUV that is reserved exclusively for fleets and government entities in that country. In fact, the highway police says that the TrailBlazer PRF Venom is an armored variant specially configured for high-risk operations that will reinforce the Brazilian institution’s vehicle lineup.

Aesthetically, the 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer PRF Venom stands out by adopting a bolder look with a matte navy blue paint treatment, markings in very discreet gray tones and a blacked-out finish that give it a sinister appearance. This represents a notable change from the current PRF models with bright navy blue and rather striking yellow or gold stripes.

The new 2025 Chevy TrailBlazer PRF Venom has already begun to be used as an official vehicle by special groups of the Brazilian Federal Highway Police, and the fleet of units will gradually increase over the next few months. Manufactured with a base finish at the GM São José dos Campos plant, the 2025 TrailBlazer PRF Venom units are sent to an external workshop supervised by the PRF to receive its armor and special police equipment.

  1. Ms Mary is too lazy to actually designate this as a 4runner Competitor. Also it will not be let in due to Chicken Tax….

Towing capacity should be 3500 kg or so= 7720 pounds, more than the 4R? Not sure…

  3. I don’t understand why GM doesn’t build vehicles for their US like this. I don’t mean the police vehicle, but a civilian version. It’s pretty cool!

    1. Civilian versions exist as a competitor to the Toyota Fortuner .

In the Middle East they had a v6 SDI option which produced more power than the Fortuner 1gr engine….I hear no issues about them ( aside from early pains) and they are cheaper in the used market.
