As GM Authority covered earlier this month, shipments of the 2025 Chevy Colorado LT are off to a late start, with the WT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2 trims preceding the rollout of the launch of the LT trim. Now, however, it looks as though new units of the 2025 Colorado LT are finally shipping out. That said, the 2025 Chevy Colorado configurator tool still is not live.
As of this writing (1/27/2025), Chevy‘s inventory search tool indicates that there are about 235 units of the 2025 Chevy Colorado WT / LT en route to dealers across the U.S. Confusingly, these units are tagged as WT / LT variants, indicating that some of the 235 units are examples of the LT trim level, while others are examples of the WT trim level.
As GM Authority covered previously, GM was originally expected to replace the standalone LT trim level with an optional LT package, which was set to be offered for the WT trim, similar to what GM did with the 2025 GMC Canyon and AT4X trim level. Later, it was revealed that GM had reversed course on those plans and instead opted to once again offer the Colorado LT as a standalone trim level. In addition, GM equips the LT Appearance and Convenience Package (RPO code XTD) as standard spec for the LT trim.
Also notable is the continued absence of the official 2025 Chevy Colorado configurator tool from Chevrolet’s website. The 2025 Colorado configurator was originally slated to go live on November 27th, 2024, and was later pushed back to December 16th, 2024. Nevertheless, more than one month later, Chevy still has not launched the official configurator tool, much to the frustration of fans and potential customers.
As a reminder, the 2025 Chevy Colorado no longer offers the base-level turbocharged 2.7L I4 L2R gasoline engine, with the Turbo High-Output 2.7L I4 L3B gasoline engine offered as the exclusive powertrain option. The 2025 Chevy Colorado is built on GM’s updated 31XX-2 platform, with production taking place at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

A work truck masquerading as an LT.
GM needs to start treating Chevy with the respect it deserves. The Colorado and Silverado are prime examples.
Put a 3.6 turbo in it
2.3 turbo in a Ranger beats in the 1/4
Who tf is buying these trucks based on quarter mile times?!
Better yet, start packing the 2.8Ls back in there.
