What To Expect From Chevy In 2025

As we hurtle into yet another rotation around that big ball of glowing hydrogen up in the sky, Chevy is gearing up for 2025 with a wide range of interesting developments. Indeed, the upcoming new year promises to deliver on several fronts, including a new C8 variant, Super Cruise-enabled SUVs, and a laundry list of EV updates, plus much more. As always, GM Authority has been at forefront when it comes to covering all that the Bow Tie brand will have to offer, and now, we’re rounding it up with highlights of what to expect from Chevy in 2025.

The upcoming C8 Chevy Corvette Zora.

C8 ZR1 Orders And The C8 Zora

GM unveiled the 2025 Corvette ZR1 this summer, and is expected to open the C8 ZR1 order books this coming February. With a staggering output exceeding 1,000 horsepower and a top speed of 233 mph, the ZR1 is the fastest, most powerful production Corvette in history.

At least for now, as Chevy is also expected to unveil the hotly anticipated 2026 Corvette Zora sometime during the 2025 calendar year. Named after the legendary engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov, the new C8 Zora is set to feature a hybrid powertrain that combines a front-mounted electric motor with the ZR1’s twin-turbo V8, yielding even more performance. Odds are the new C8 Zora will be a de-contented, track-focused model, possibly offered as a package upgrade for the new ZR1.

2025 Chevy Suburban

Refreshed SUVs Get Super Cruise, Diesel Power

Chevy will also offer the popular Tahoe and Suburban full-size SUVs with Super Cruise in 2025, with orders for Super Cruise-equipped units of the refreshed models opening in February, enabling hands-free driving on compatible highways. By March, buyers can also be able to opt for the new 3.0L I6 LZ0 turbodiesel Duramax engine, which arrives as a replacement for the LM2 Duramax offered previously.

Electrification Developments

Naturally, the 2025 calendar year will include several updates to Chevy’s electrification efforts, starting with the arrival of the performance-oriented 2025 Chevy Blazer EV SS this coming spring.

Another major EV milestone will be an official reveal for the next-generation Chevy Bolt EV. After initially planning to retire the Bolt nameplate, GM reversed course, opting to continue the popular model with a next-gen version built on its advanced Ultium battery platform.

Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss

Chevrolet’s electrified lineup will also grow with the addition of the 2025 Silverado EV Trail Boss, an off-road-oriented version of the electric pickup.

As always, GM Authority will be there to cover all of these developments as they happen, so keep it locked here for the latest and greatest from Chevrolet.

  1. All we wanted for Christmas was naturally aspirated ICE vehicles anywhere from 2.0L to 3.8L.

  3. Sincer … do not expect much from car industries, neither ships industry and neither trains and aicraft industries… If continue to see nice AIs doing the right cars, i am happy, we have our 2013 Dacia Sandero Essentiel bought new in 2013 and we keep so, we do not need GM, neuther BMW, neither VW, neither RR, neither Bentley, neither Honsanishi, nether Stellantis and neither any other one. We have our 4 wheels and it is good so. Do not believe any industries mentioned gonna in 2025 do a beautiful and elegant car for our pocket of € 5000 new to replace, 50 ethanol flexi hybrid… we do not need EV because we are not millionaires, the car industry did not invest in us in past. and so we found our tracks by ouselves. Have a nice 2025 and we expect a wonderful 2025 mainly for my spouse to be.

    1. Won’t need it, gm would probably put a 1.4 Liter option under the hood like they did for the new GMC Terrain, an absolute NO-GO for truck standards.

  7. Less $100,000 EV’s and MORE interior color choices across the board!

  8. When is GM going to replace the outgoing 6th generation Camaro? Now that GM has finished production I can only speculate on a replacement vehicle but when? And what nameplate will make a comeback? Perhaps the Chevelle El Camino or the Impala? The Nova would be a nice change. I guess us Chevrolet owners will have to wait and see

    1. The next Camaro will probably be an EV that no one wants. The EV Blazer would have dominated the market with a V6 and a V8. People love the body style.

  10. GM wants to be the next TESLA, sorry folks. ICE is an afterthought for GM.
If you want ICE and a Hybrid, go shop foreign.
GM has abandoned the real Americans who supported especially the BOWTIE after all these years.
See the USA in a Chevrolet if you can afford an EV and find a charging station for a long trip!

  12. I thought GM was moving away from that terrible EV crap? I guess they will have to learn the Hard Way that most Americans don’t want that garbage if i talk to 100 car owners a day about ICE vehicles vs EVs 99 of them Hate EVs and you would have thought GM got the memo as EV sales are down but here they go shooting themselves in the foot again it’s clearly evident that GM doesn’t listen to their customers because they continue to make foolish decisions and boneheaded mistakes like putting a 4 cyl in a full size truck I use to like GM and was a fan of every division(Buick Chevrolet GMC Hummer Oldsmobile Pontiac Saturn SAAB) etc.but it’s hard to like anything that they make nowadays I like the Blazer which in my honest opinion should have been RWD or AWD with a V8 but Chevy messed that up and I like the current Escalade Sierra Denali and Yukon Denali other than that my admiration GM vehicles has gone down dramatically there aren’t too many GM products that I would feel comfortable buying nowadays other than the few vehicles that I mentioned above
