An almost unrecognizable fifth-generation Chevy Camaro is up for sale via Facebook Marketplace in Longview, Texas. It’s a 2015 Chevy Camaro LS that’s been heavily modified into what the seller calls the “EXO Batmobile.” The listing has an asking price of $123,456, but the seller indicates he’s looking to sell “for the right price” and is willing to trade for a V8-powered Camaro.
There’s a lot to talk about with this modified Camaro, but first things first. It has a V6. Assuming it’s the factory V6 that served as the base engine for the 2015 Camaro, it’s the 3.6L V6 LFX, which was rated at 323 horsepower and 278 pound-feet of torque when new. The seller claims “no engine work has been done” except the custom exhaust, so it comes with much of the reliability of a modern V6 Camaro.
With that out of the way, let’s dig into these modifications. The listing claims the car “has been chopped up and rebuilt from the ground up.” Just a few components that have been customized include the exterior roll cage, exhaust, exterior lighting, and an “extremely loud sound system.” A thick crossmember where the hood would normally be has a Batman insignia on it, and the radiator has a Wayne Enterprises logo. If you’re one of the lucky owners of the official $2.9 million Wayne Enterprises Batmobile, maybe the seller of this Camaro would be interested in a trade.
The customized body has hydraulic gullwing doors and almost no recognizable signs that it’s a Camaro except the C-pillars. A large rear wing with the word “VENGEANCE” on it is perched above a largely exposed rear end with some stylishly bent exhaust pipes.
Inside are two red bucket seats with 4-point harnesses and a custom dash with an iPad-based infotainment system. Conveniently, it appears to still have cupholders. Concerningly, it probably doesn’t have airbags.
This Batmobile comes with a clean Texas title, and it’s street-legal, at least in Texas. The sky-high price on the listing is likely a placeholder to get attention more than a serious asking price, so go ahead and make an offer so you can live your Batman dreams.
