PaxPower PreRunner GMC Sierra AT4X Built To Rival Ford F-150 Raptor, Ram 1500 TRX: Video

If you’re into lifted, visually impactful off-roaders, but prefer something a little more custom over all the factory options out there, then PaxPower has you covered. As covered in a new video, the Houston-based shop offers the Jackal package for the GMC Sierra 1500, upgrading the factory Sierra AT4X to take on off-road heavyweights like the Ford F-150 Raptor and Ram 1500 TRX. While GMC’s AT4X and Chevy’s Silverado ZR2 trim levels offer plenty of off-road prowess right from the factory, PaxPower’s upgrades elevate the pickup to a new level – literally.

PaxPower shows off its custom GMC Sierra Jackal builds.

The GMC Jackal’s standout features are its wide-body design and long-travel suspension, both of which enhance off-road performance and visual appeal. Custom bodywork expands the truck’s width by four inches, integrating rugged fender liners that protect against harsh conditions while preserving the signature GMC Sierra styling. The suspension system is upgraded with extended control arms and fabricated lower arms, all while retaining the advanced Multimatic shocks.

Naturally, Pax Power offers customers extensive customization options to tailor the Jackal to their preferences. Buyers can choose their own wheels, tires, and finish details, such as gloss black bumpers for a refined aesthetic or textured black for a more rugged appearance. Each truck is built to order.

For those craving additional power, PaxPower offers a 3.0L Whipple supercharger upgrade for the GMC Sierra’s factory 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine. This enhancement boosts the truck’s output from 420 horsepower to an impressive 650 horsepower and 655 pound-feet of torque, rivaling the performance of factory-built supercharged models like the LT4-powered Escalade-V. Despite the significant power boost, PaxPower says the upgrade maintains factory-level reliability and drivability.

While each build is unique, PaxPower estimates that the GMC Sierra Jackal conversion package will cost roughly $22,000 to $23,000, including the wide-body kit, paint, suspension, wheels, and tires. Not cheap, but in this space, you have to pay to play.
