The 2025 Chevy Trax follows up on the all-new 2024 model year with several important updates, not the least of which is the introduction of a new E85-compatible engine. Customers interested in purchasing a new 2025 Chevy Trax have five trim levels to choose from, including 1LS, 1RS, 1LT, 2RS, and Activ.
But how expensive can the 2025 Chevy Trax be when fully loaded? To find out, we went into the configurator and added as many options as we could.
RPO/Color Code | MSRP | |
---|---|---|
Trax 2RS or Activ | $25,395 | |
Marina Blue Metallic or Nitro Yellow Metallic paint | GKN/GHS | $395 |
Sunroof Package | ZL3 | $895 |
Driver Confidence Package | WPA | $795 |
Interior Protection Package, LPO | PDH | $525 |
Roof rack cross rails, LPO | VLL | $425 |
3 Years SiriusXM | R6P | $299 |
Keyless entry keypad, LPO | RDI | $295 |
Front and rear splash guards, LPO | VQK | $250 |
Sport pedal kit, LPO | SBZ | $195 |
Collapsible cargo area organizer, LPO | RWU | $175 |
Engine block heater with active grille shutters | K05 | $125 |
Highway safety kit, LPO | S08 | $110 |
Cargo net, LPO | W2D | $95 |
Total | $29,974 |
Then, there’s the list of dealer-installed LPO options. A few of the big ones include the Interior Protection Package (LPO PDH), adding all-weather floor liners and a cargo liner, roof rack cross rails (VLL) for $425, a keyless entry pad (RDI) for $295, and front and rear splash guards (VQK) for $250.
When you add up every available option on the list above, the out-the-door price of the most expensive 2025 Chevy Trax comes to $29,974, just a hair under the $30k mark. This highlights the great value of the Chevy Trax, even when fully loaded.
Notably, there is a small price increase for some 2025 Chevy Trax trim levels compared to the preceding 2024 model year. Starting prices for the 2025 Trax 1RS and LT are $200 more expensive than equivalent 2024-model-year vehicles while starting prices for the 2RS and Activ are $400 more expensive than equivalent 2024-model-year vehicles.
As for the mechanical specs, the 2025 Chevy Trax features the turbocharged 1.2L I3 LBP gasoline engine with E85 flex fuel compatibility. Output will be set at 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. The GM VSS-F vehicle set provides the underpinnings, while Trax production takes place at the GM Changwon plant in South Korea.
Comments
$30K for a Trax is a terrible value, BUT when fully loaded with the most common options it’s closer to $27K. Fine, if you can find a $4K discount but good luck with that lately. I’d take a $29K Trailblazer that goes for $23K instead. Bigger engine and more goodies…
On the Trail:
I agree.
Plus, it also has a serviceable trans, besides available AWD -for those who need it.
Serviceable transmission.
Please explain.
Whether it’s 1.2 or 1.3 liters, it’s still a three-banger and in a slightly larger vehicle. Will it really matter?
The article is trying to say without directly saying that in comparison to other vehicles in the Trax’s segment equipped the same way fully loaded, you’re looking at likely around $35-45K and possibly higher for those other models. No subcompact crossover is worth that much, even a hybrid or an AWD one.
Go for the LS with the heated seats, aluminum wheels and remote start and you have everything you need. Be cool if a 5-speed stick were available.
Oh yeah. Any trim w/o roof racks. Ugly.
Still no optional audio system such as JBL or Bose, etc, for the upper levels of the Trax.
Would I void whatever warranty if I added a powered subwoofer to the 2TS version?
Peace! 🙏♐
Typo: the 2RS version!
Crappy parts and software glitches and all the time at the dealer without having the car makes it a loser.
