General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV) has just launched a line of official accessories for the Chevy Silverado in Australia to meet the preferences of customers in that country.

The automaker’s Oceania subsidiary launched a complete line of Chevy Silverado 1500 accessories in Australia, one of the most competitive pickup markets in the world with a high demand for customization. GMSV now offers Silverado users a wealth of original accessories including a number of individual options and value-loaded packages specially designed for the truck.

“We know that so many of our customers personalise their Silverado, and the launch of these dealer-fitted accessory packs will give them even more choice, while at the same time simplifying the process,” said GM Australia and New Zealand Managing Director, Jess Bala. “Whether you use your Silverado for work or play – or for a bit of both – there is a GMSV accessory to enhance your ownership experience,” she added.

In particular, the GMSV accessory line for the Chevy Silverado 1500 in Australia ranges from power retractable tonneau covers to keep tools and equipment secure to additional fold-down storage options, such as weather shields, tie-down rings or cargo nets. In addition, the Chevrolet pickup is offered with two aesthetic and functional accessory packages designed, manufactured and tested for the Silverado.

The two Chevy Silverado accessory packs in the Australian market have a distinctive approach and are aimed at each of the versions of the truck sold in the country. On one hand, the Black Pack exclusive to the Silverado LTZ Premium offers street style with black wheels, emblems and logos. Meanwhile, the Terrain Pack for the Silverado ZR2 features a sport bar, rocker protection, a bed tonneau cover and mud flaps for off-road adventures.

GMSV’s new range of official accessories for the Chevy Silverado in Australia are now available from the company’s dealer network, who will also install them without affecting the warranty. Customers will be able to choose from an extensive line of individual accessories and one of two appearance packages, which round up the most popular accessories into a single, ready-to-install option selection. Prices for the personalised packages are as follows:

  • Black Pack (LTZ Premium): $3,032 AUD (about $1,975 USD at the current exchange rate)
  • Terrain Pack (ZR2): $4,192 AUD ($2,725 USD)

  2. They should get a backbone and start supporting the customers. How many more L87’s have to have lifter failure or bottom end failures before someone grows a backbone and issues a recall to sort the problem.

    1. How many DO YOU know that have issues? Yes, it is concerning, but I would say 10k to 30k units, given the massive volume of L87s they make… recalls will be impossible for EVERY perfectly running vehicle.

Toyota sells less trucks, so that is not a good comparison…

Lifter failure is less common, but rod bearings are an issue, but AGAIN the numbers that fail would be a good starting point.

MY23 I would avoid FOR THIS REASON ALONE, and MY24s (Build dates?). Those being babied suffer the most, from what I see….low mileage units (only one case at 100k+).

Before ANYONE DOWNVOTES, if you have build dates of problem engines, that will help greatly.

      Thank you very much.
