Just weeks after officially launching in China, the GMC Yukon has been awarded the 2024 Premium Full-Size SUV award in the country.

The 2024 Premium Full-Size SUV award was presented at this year’s annual “Best of the Best” art ceremony hosted by the Chinese version of lifestyle magazine Robb Report, held at the 798 Cube art museum in Beijing. Recently launched in China by The Durant Guild, the Yukon won the award as the most outstanding model in its segment, an emerging niche in China.

“GMC Yukon carries The Durant Guild’s vivid interpretation of the ‘peak realm’. As a well-known full-size luxury executive SUV in U.S., it has been around for more than 30 years,” said President of The Durant Guild and Vice President at GM Premium Import, Leon Li. “The Yukon launch in the Chinese market will help determined ‘climbers’ in every field continue to look up at the stars and continues to refresh the limits of General Motors’ century-old craftsmanship,” he added.

The automaker further stated that the GMC Yukon won Robb Report’s 2024 Premium Full-Size SUV award thanks to its great attributes that combine performance and strength with cutting-edge technology, as well as its imposing style and refined interior that represents the pinnacle of iconic American full-size SUVs.

The “Best of the Best Robb’s Award” for the GMC Yukon was launched in 1989 and is one of the longest-running media selections in the world. Since the Chinese version of the Robb Report was first published in 2007, Best of the Best has taken a highly professional perspective and conducted in-depth research to gain insights into the new consumption patterns of China’s high-net-worth individuals.

The 2025 GMC Yukon is offered exclusively in Denali trimmings but in five distinctive versions, including the standard model and the top-of-the-line Denali Ultimate trim, each with the regular body style of the original wheelbase model. The acclaimed American utility vehicle is the first GMC product to be officially offered in the Chinese market by GM (via the Durant Guild) and represents the flagship SUV for both the brand and The Durand Guild.

  1. Oh, who cares?

    1. Well seeing as the Yukon, even the Asian-market variant, is exclusively manufactured in Arlington Texas, I’d say quite a few tax-paying Americans working at the Arlington plant care. Not that you’d ever think that far into anything before you comment.

  3. Soon GM will be bought by the Chinese since GM cares more for there markets. GMs EV endeavors will eventually bankrupt the company I see GM getting in bed with the Chinese if they already haven’t.
